Mechanical hard drives on consumer laptops in 2017
Normies can't into limited disk space, or expensive storage.
emmc storage is cheap and normies do fine with 32 gb or less on their phones which they're replacing their laptops with btw
Because of macfags that look at computer specs and go
>3.0 GHz processor
>500 GB storage
>Looks bretty gud m8
except they're all shipping with 1-2ghz dual/quad core and 1tb these days...
i don't buy any of the logic. i smell a rat.
Never thought of it that way
stupid fucking frogposters
stupid neck having beige skins
>mfw got a laptop on the cheap and stripped it of it's drive
currently looking through with easeus recovery wizard. Will post if I find something intresting
Because some want storage space instead of speed.
then get an sd card
A 1TB one?
Its cheaper. Why the fuck would a consumer level laptop have anything above the bare minimum? Why would some $400 Winshit laptop have PCIe M.2 SSDs in RAID? A decent 7200 RPM drive and enough RAM is more than enough performance-wise for the average normie.
Have you seen a normie's download folder? They don't delete anything. Storage space > speed.
Instead of grossly overcharging for cheaply sourced ssds they slap in a hdd you can repalce with whatever sdd you like and still be cheaper off with a portable hdd to spare.
Tell me how this is bad?
Whats wrong with mechanical hard drives?
Because they break more often? What would be better? A hybrid?
SanDisk sells 512 GB ones, and they have a 1 TB prototype.
Is emmc storage cancer? I'm looking for a comfy 11 incher for college. No second hand shit.
And how much do they cost, as much as the laptop?
Why is that so cheap? What's wrong with it?
$50
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
It's a fucking scam.
