Hi guys

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about upgrading my computer. I'll need a motherboard, a processor and a graphic card. Probably Ram memory too, I only have 8 right now.
I don't want to have the best stuff, I just want to be able to play in 60 FPS on games like GTA5.
What would you recommend me? Parts that fit together.

1070
and
logicalincrements.com/

Go to pcbg

Ryzen 1600, 16GB of somewhat fast DDR4, RX580

gtx 1070 and 16gb ram

get whichever cpu you want between intel and amd

Thanks guys, does that seem like a good build?

No
i5 is dead, get a Ryzen 1600
1080 is overkill, a RX580 will do just fine
1070 if you want more than the 580 offers

>buy AMD goy
fuck off shill
Great build, just maybe spend the extra 30 bucks for the i7

RX580 can't keep 60fps at 1080p , neither can 1060
youtube.com/watch?v=edF_OVMddtI

my speclist for my upcoming upgrade:

>ryzen 1400
>16gb ddr4 3000 mhz
>1070 or 580

The cpu is purposefully on the budget side so i can upgrayd in 2-3 years when gayms wil actually benefit from 8 physical cores

Which one should I get?

Ultra settings are a meme

Because why buy a 6 core/12t CPU with slightly worse single thread performance when you can buy a 4c/4t CPU for the same price?
Even the 1400 with only 8MB of L3 cache beats the shit out of i5

the only ultra settings that count are view distance and geometric complexity, the rest is useless shit meant to drag down performance in benchs so that gaymer dont go "holy shit even poor people get high fps gaym must be a pos"

>Ram memory
>RIP in Peace

Honestly if u wanna do an intel budget config now's the time to buy used 3770k etc.
You can get complete configs often water coooled for 250-300$ 16gb ram included.

Makes no sense to spend almost twice as that for new parts with just 15% performance increase over OC'ed considering u'll have to bin the mobo for sure bc socket change anyway

Amd or Intel if I want the most FPS?

Correct.

Depends in the game, but AMD Ryzen usually has slightly better frametimes/framerate in most games (after a lot of BIOS updates and stuff since release)
And lower power consumption, lower price and better performance in everything else

best question is the BEST LOW FPS, and Ryzen 6/12 8/16 wins hands down over intel 4/4 or 4/8 competitors

It doesn't really matter, cpu is not going to be your bottleneck most of the time. Just keep in mind Nvidia drivers and ryzen don't get along right now.

Is it better like that? Also, how much watt for the power supply if I use these parts?

At least 700w

That motherboard and processor are not compatible.

My 1060 6gb does constant 60-80 frames with everything on

Are these compatible?

>rx 580 ~10 fps slower than the 1060

i keep seeing this a lot. what was the actual point of releasing a new 480 with higher clocks if it has little to no effect in 9/10 titles and in the games it does have an effect in, it's only a small 5 fps or so boost. they should have released a more efficient 480, like a low power one for lower end systems or something.

ya

the 580 and the 1060 are about the same on average. i got the 1060 because the one i got runs cooler, quieter and draws less power than the 580

With this setup I'll be able to play at 60 FPS?

Yeah
1070 is just a little less powerul than the 980ti, despite somehow despite being shown higher in many benchmarks which makes no sense

>have 290x
>choose ultra completely maxxed settings in GTA V
>45-55fps at 1080p
>turn off grass, high rez shadows and only put msaa to x2
>75-85 fps at 1080p

They really are a complete meme. Game doesn't look any worse.

grass really doesnt make a difference in that game, but when a hydra faggot is chasing you, those edges really show no matter what msaa youre running

dude what resolution are u even playin at

1360 x 720

ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 AM4 AMD Promontory B350 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

+ AMD RYZEN 5 1600X 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 95W YD160XBCAEWOF Desktop Processor

+ G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) AMD X370 / B350 / A320 Memory (Desktop Memory) Model F4-2400C15D-16GFX

the CPU and motherboard are part of a 2-item combo on newegg now, it was $50 off, now is only $15 off

motherboard mfg listed all the compatible memory with a typo on every RAM s/n so it looked like no memory was compatible.

so feel free to look around. When I bought it the 1600x with the $50 off was the same price as a 1600 + similar motherboard

go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and see if the memory is listed as compatible.

What do you think of that?

Get 64gb ram and a 1050ti

nice meme vid

dat next gen

Is this one worth it compared to the other

grow up

Sup Forums has hardcore company allegiances
You won't get any unbiased responses here, everyone wants to shill you something

No joke, go on reddit, pcmasterrace, pcbuilds, whatever their PC building reddit is called and ask them
Sup Forums is already fucking you over, just go there, not saying ">>>reddit" I'm saying you'll get better legitimate help there

stfu fag

there's no fuken alternatives either he gets a ryzen or a intel
1600-1700 vs latest i5 and i7
everybody saying he should get a 1070

Even if there's some shilling it's really irrelevant as they cancel each other out.

What could redditors possibly tell him more than everything's that already been said here

I guarantee you'll be back here in a month complaining about memory speed issues or stuttering in games

Which part is the problem?

Yes, but that motherboard is way overkill. You'd be fine with pretty much any B350 motherboard ($90 or so)

The regular 1600 unless you really want to squeeze every possible drop of performance out of it

>DDR43000
No fucking way

I'd get either a 1400 for maximum cheap or 1700 for long term, other half arsed solutions make less sense desu.

It's gonna be fine with the motherboard I posted here?

ofc user

Thanks, why is the motherboard half the price of the other. I don't get why. What are the main differences.

They're different sockets, you can SLI/CF on x370 but can't in B350.

Also other useless crap you shouldn't care about.

Your asrock is fine, I've seen this one recommended with lots of midrange builds also:

chipsets* XD

i5's are a bad buy. Get an r5 1600 instead.

This is what I'm gonna get probably

This whole thread is fucking you over bud
