PARIS — A police captain was fatally stabbed and his companion was also killed at their home in a small town northwest of Paris on Monday evening, and within hours the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the murders.
The police captain, who was not otherwise identified, was outside his home in Magnanville when he was stabbed by an unidentified assailant, who appeared to have then entered the house and took the captain’s companion and 3-year-old son hostage, according to a statement on the website of the French Interior Ministry and a statement from President François Hollande.
Members of an elite French police unit arrived and raided the home. They fatally shot the attacker, found the woman dead and rescued the boy. The statement added that the woman was an employee of the Interior Ministry.
>>a shitty American accent
Unless you have an accent from Boston, Chicago, or New York, it's probably not that shitty.
Unless a Sergeant Major taught you, in which case you're not actually speaking English.
i dunno his accent is pretty shit when he speaks english
What language is this?
kek
I think he listened to himself and realized he didn't sound as good as he thought.
By the way Koreabro, I don't mean to disparage your abilities, I'm sure your English is fine. It's just frequently foreign English speakers get a big head and think they're better at it than they really are. But have no fear - Americans especially are very understanding of varying levels of English since we generally don't speak other languages.
And for the record I can speak 3 languages, so I know how hard it is to learn and I appreciate the effort you went through to learn English.
>he actually thinks he sounds american
You've no idea how easy it is to speak with an American accent.
>be a native speaker
>have eastern euro as default accent
It's understandable but the audio is honestly so bad I couldn't tell what accent you have.

Same, to be honest.
I've been mistaken as Asian American by some of the American students at my university.
yeah, British one is way better in regards to easy hearing.
you're irish so it's not very surprising that you'd think that, some irish people have very american-sounding accents
i like american, i dont understand british people at all.

Don't try that shit, virtually all (young) native Irish speakers can be considered native English speakers for all intents and purposes.
