Ryzen Motherboard

Best value for money motherboard for Ryzen?

I'm thinking of buying Ryzen 5 1600 and I can't decide which motherboard to get. I think MSI Tomahawk Arctic is the best, what do you think?

Asrock B350s are the best buys right now it seems.

get a asrock b350 pro 4

>what do you think?
Asus B350-F Strix and the MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon are the absolute best B350 boards right now.

The MSI boards are great. My nly complaints are the 4 6gb/s Sata ports when everyone else has 6.

For what reason is it the best?

bump

last week RMAd a tomahawk arctic tho

>still the best i think rofl

The best price/perf B350 board is the Asus B350-Plus. Cheaper than almost all other B350 boards, yet has the second-best power delivery after the MSI Pro Carbon (and possibly the Strix, but that's new and more expensive than some X370 boards).

Ok, I think I'll buy that one instead.

Asrock boards have more i/o. 370 levels on 350 boards.

that picture hurt my brain for some reason

No rgb.
Into bin it goes.

It's taken from the top and then rotated to an angle. Thus the perspective is all wrong.

Except MSI lies about their memory support. Their "support" for >2400MHZ memory (like Corsair Vengeance for example) just involves reverting to default and showing the wrong value in the BIOS.

MSI tomahawk b350

No LLC is making me pump 1.4v into the CPU to get a 3.875Ghz of on mine. Drops down to 1.31v under load. Nice board apart from that

Pick up an Asrock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 or Asrock AB350 Pro4

Is there any ryzen boards where you can control the TridentZ RGB modules? I have a biostar X370GT7 and the gskill app won't detect them.

B350 PC Mate is pretty darn good for the money.

I did hear that MSI is iffy and slow with bringing out UEFI / BIOS updates though.

I'm excited to see how mobo company's do with making separate threadripper motherboards. Epyc socket or something. Betting on asrock

Best board for the least money is Asrock B350.

Best B350 board that's great at everything is the Asus Strix B350.

Best B350 overclockers are MSI Gaming Pro and Krait B350.

ASCock's boards only have a three-phase CPU VRM. People think it's a six phase design, but they just slapped two inductors and two MOSFETs on there for each phase, not even proper doubling. It's a 3+3 setup, versus the 4+2 you get on MSI and Asus B350 boards, and the CPU VRM is far more important than the chipset one.

The best board for the least money is the Asus Prime B350-Plus. It only loses out to the more expensive MSI boards in terms of VRM quality.

what accent buildzoid has?

Any idea for a micro ITX?
