I clean the tops of the keycaps once a week. Complete removal of keycaps once a month to clean the the rest of it. Use iso alcohol and qtips.

Cleaned my last keyboard once, was a used one that I had for 1.5 years I think. The one I have now I have never cleaned an had for more than half a year.

I remove the pcb, cabling, and the conductive membrane, then put the bare case in the dishwasher.

When I had membrane-never, now that I have a cheap mechanical once every two or three months

I used to clean it every every other month, sometimes on the following weekend if I got a bit of it dirty during the week. Nowadays I don't have to because I moved somewhere not on a major road, so there's not much dust collecting on it at night.
