cmd obviously

bash

linux compatibility layer

ASSUMILATEEEEEEEEEEEEE

powershell

oh yeah? try to do some basic ssh stuff with """power""" shell

COMMAND.COM

Powershell isn't even a real shell. Fuck off.

What is a shell?

Which Linux shell has ssh built in to it? None of the ones I've tried have done.

Bash. Otherwise, Powershell is ok.

I use cmder and have cygwin installed.
Better experience than bash on loonix.

ssh comes by default with every distro I've tried.

The shell doesn't come with grep or sed but they are essential shell commands.

WIndows has cmd, PowerShell and Bash, which are the best three shells in existence. You don't really have to choose when you can use the three of them at the same time..

Oh so your shell doesn't have ssh capabilities it relies on third party application.

Meanwhile PowerShell comes with PSRemoting built in.

>The shell doesn't come with grep or sed but they are essential shell commands

Powershell comes with grep in the form of Select-String and sed in the form of -replace built in to the shell.

Not who you're replying to, but isn't that a security issue?

You have to enable it just like you would sshd, also PSRemoting has constrained endpoints.

Do one thing and do it right.
I can install anything I need with a few keystrokes.

No, for one reason:

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrace,_extend_and_extinguish

if you want Linux to not die on the vine, don't fall for it.

PSRemoting is so terrible that Microsoft is actually porting OpenSSHd to Windows to replace it. This is also why the Win10/Server2k16 console is getting support for ANSI and VT100 escape codes.

So now what you're saying is that not only does it have native remote that works just fine, it also has third party ssh that Linux users have to install for their shells to be able to do anything ssh at all.

Sounds like Windows is the better choice.
