What exactly is the point of this OS and why is it still in development after so many years? Windows XP is already ancient and no one gives a fuck about it anymore.
ReactOs
It can run more applications than Linux for sure.
They co-develop WINE
>not supporting an OS that both respects your freedom and plays Diablo II natively.
Still a better daily driver than Ganuuulincucks
>being this retarded
no it can't. wine runs better that this
When Win7 loses official MS support in 2020 I hope ReactOS will be working well enough to be a daily driver.
I said the same thing in 2009 about ReactOS and WIndows XP.
For me, the point of considering it down the road is the fact that it has the potential to become the ultimate Windows XP, an OS with DX10/11 Compatibility that's as fast as XP.
there's absolutely no chance that'll happen
this shit is unbelievably buggy. I give it another 10 years until it's at Linux's current state for the desktop.
meme brain
This is false because ReactOS runs things natively..
What XP application doesn't run on ReactOS? Seriously.
It's for research, not for usability you fucking idiots
They reverse windows and re-implement it so that normal PE files have all the appropriate syscalls
Yeah and it's such a buggy piece of shit so even WINE runs better.
There is no point in it, it's a vaporware project that gives osdev hobbyists something to work on
In 99 cases out of 100, ReactOS doesn't even boot on real hardware
>dodging the question
And no, of course it will not run on non-supported hardware, if that is what you are aiming for diverting the question.
I'm not dodging the question, lmao
I guess a lot of windows xp applications will run on reactos, but it really changes nothing
Since you can't use ReactOS on real hardware, if you want to run XP applications without Windows XP, you're better off using Linux & Wine
>I guess
You don't know but immediately take a posture. I don't speak to trolls, this conversation is over.
Suck a dick
