There is no real reason to hate systemd.
The only people who are hating systemd are bandwagoner faggots and salty BSD cucks trying to derail the community from making progress.

Whatever you say, Lennart, you fucking faggot.
systemd is shit. breaks all principals of do one thing well, tries to assimilate other things it can never be good at. fuck off.
systemDEEEEEEEZ NUUUUUUUUUUUTS
Systemd follows Micro$hit's way of doing things, which is shit. Why follow shit principles? Non-systemd is not shit.
>shutdown
>stop job is running for service (21s / 1m30s) [1/6]
It's like Windows Updates all over again
Great progress, Lennart!
Linux is not Unix. Not even FreeBSD coreutils adhere to the Unix philiosophy
Many Linux distros are certified UNIX. None of the BSDs are certified UNIX. Not that it matters. Linux replaced UNIX.
Unix is just a mere certification that anyone can buy with money. See MacOS
it assimilates those responsibilities because they work better if managed together.
> things it can never be good at
like what?
almost no one who tries to shit on systemd knows why it is made this way.
Daily reminder that both Torvalds and Stallman said they approve of systemd.
sysv-init + OpenRC > Runit > SystemDisease
Just because something is free software, dosen't mean it is also not harmful, good, or should ever be used.
From personal experience, I used Debian for years.
It was rock solid and perfect.
Until at some point a few years ago, everything started to fall apart and break on me.
Correlated perfectly with their inclusion of Systemd.
I know nothing about init programs, but once I became fed up with it and moved to something that didn't use Systemd, all the problems I was having went away.
...
>Correlated perfectly with their inclusion of Systemd.
>I know nothing about init programs
If you know nothing about init programs, and correlation doesn't equal causation, then how do we know you just aren't chimping out about things you don't even comprehend in the first place?
What problems?
I'm quite open to such a possibility.
But after reading about Systemd and why people hate and are worried about it, I'm fairly certain it is the cause.
And no one has yet to offer any other explanation that holds up.
But by all means, feel free to try.
>I know nothing about init programs
He doesn't need to since Systemd is far more than an init program now
Systemd has fucked up a lot of shit that I have had to deal with
Moved to OpenRC months ago and never looked back
Go to bed Lennart. You will never be as good as Linus.
UNIX LIKE IS NOT UNIX, YOU FUCKING FAGS
>One of the most well-known concepts that people often cite about Unix is that everything’s a file. I personally think that’s a complete bullshit thing. That’s because everything is not a file. My printer is not a file and if Unix pretends that my printer is a file, that’s complete rubbish because a file is a very different thing.

Holy shit I can feel the autism from here.
Have run Debian for more than a decade. Solid before systemd, and solid after. Of course, this could be because I'm running stable. You use sid?
