really want to upgrade my lg g4. it heats up quite in random times and battery life is not that great now. what should i get?

Country? Budget?

Who else is gonna cop the OP5 if it's less the 500 €?

I'll wait till the reviews.

not really have a budget, i can get it from US or Asia. Was looking at the xperia xzs since it has the battery life, size, fingerprint reader and camera, but im not sure if i should keep on waiting for a better processor. dont really fond of the xz premium...

I asked in the last thread but some fuckwit didn't know how to read.

Would Oukitel C5 pro be the best BUY phone on the market now ?
I live in Eastern Europe.

No. if you want sub $100 phone get the Redmi 4A or Homtom HT17 Pro.

With the company's rep being what it is, knowing the appearance and specs and being a fan of OxOS, I am just going to gamble it. The only disappointment a review could uncover is Jerry bending the thing in half.

Just a heads up about the Google Now Nova Launcher article, they don't state it requires 5.3 Beta 1 at the least for it to work

I want to change my One M7 with an iPhone 6S since the network doesn't work much anymore, shit battery (1h SOT at 30-40% luminosity) and horrible sound, I can't hear it ring or the person talking to me.
Should I wait september ?

>Should I wait september ?
Yup.
All the previous model prices will drop and you can see what the 8 is all about.
I'm waiting till Sept to replace gf's 5 with an SE.

Sprint has got some insanely good deals at the moment, HTC 10 for $240, LG G6 for $120, one year of unlimited service for free when switching from Verizon...

I'm looking to upgrade my Moto G3 sometime in the next few months. Features I'm looking for are water resistance, USB-C charging port, headphone jack, and a price point under $350 or so.

Are there any phones out right now or planned to be released that would meet that criteria?

The Blade V8 Pro meets all that except for the water resistance

Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017)

Ah, well water resistance is a high priority for me as I put it in a handlebar mount on my motorcycle and use it as a GPS unit. It's gotta be able to survive a sudden downpour.

I'm not a huge fan of Samsung but I'll look into those.

They don't seem to offer the Galaxy A series in the US.

Too bad. If you're in the US you can get good deals on LG G6, Sony XZ is also on sale for $350-400 from time to time.

Alright, I'll keep my eyes open. Thanks.

Not officialy, but the unlocked model is on Amazon:
amazon.com/Samsung-SM-A520F-Unlocked-International-Warranty/dp/B01M0QXN7K/

It's pretty much the only phone that matches your criteria. IP68, USB Type C, Exynos 7880(SD625 equilevant) etc.
works on at&t and t-mobile, won't work on sprint/verizon.

I've been using a Galaxy S3 for 4 years more or less and since it's finally dying I want to upgrade. What's the best phone for 500/700€? I was thinking about S8 or U11, I'd need something to start developing apps for Android for college

Are Redmi 5's coming soon?

I have this exact question but for half the price.

If you're in college how are you getting a 700€ phone?

Well I'm using Straight Talk on the AT&T network so it should work. I'll give it a closer look.

OP5

I used the word college but I'm not american, so the taxes aren't THAT bad
Will look into it, thanks!

I get paid 500€/month for studying in free university. 330€ goes to rent.

T: Europoor

Finngolia?

>I get paid 500€/month for studying
I pay more than this every month to be in university.
Where in the world do you get paid to go to college?
t. burger

Which phones are best for under 150 Euros?
Needs to be moddable so I can keep it up for a bit of time, it's for my bf's mom so it doesn't need much specs, mostly battery and a decent chipset
Used stuff is ok, just keep the pricetag low
# EDIT
i saw a Z3C for about 150 Euros, worth it?

Redmi Note 4 Global

Xiaomi has stared closing all the bootloaders and has become a hassle for modding, is there any alternative? Are other chinkphones better at this?
Apart from mediatek shit obv

Yes
Finland, during summer holiday most university students work and lectures ends somewhere in 1.5-15.5 and starts again in 1.9-5.9. So you can work for 4 months approximately. I usually make 8k€ during that time also.

Fuck i wanna be finland now

Zuk Z2 or Le Max 2. they both have plenty of custom roms and easy to mod.

Actually they've improved the bootloader unlocking process, it only takes a few days at worst to get the unlock code. So it's not a problem anymore.

I'll look into them thx
When? last time i had to do it for a friend and it took me more than a week, it was a few months ago

You need to pay for studying here though. I think only EU citizens can study still for free.

Are the studies in English or Finnish btw?

Dont know exactly when, but recently I'm seeing a lot of people saying it only took a few days (even only a few hours for some) to get the code from Xiaomi whereas before you'd have to wait for weeks so they must have changed something.

There are programs in English only and many masters degrees are in English.

Ok guys I want anew phone, I'm still living off a G2 i bought used online and it still rocks but it's old, i want new shit
What's best under 500?
I want a good battery, at least 32 GB, long lasting moddability and if possible Google Daydream support, so min Snapdragon 820 and some other stuff i don't remember

>gave my brother my old g4
>forgot it had a 505 SN
>calls me today saying its bootlooping

keks were had

Zuk Z2.

>Google daydream support
You want 1440p for that, so Axon 7.

Damn, I gotta get me an EU citizenship somehow.

If I were to be buying a G4, is there anyway for me to be sure it won't bootloop?

Does Sup Forums think Daydream is gonna get any attention or is it gonna die slowly under the fact that no one cares for VR?

dafuq is daydream

Buy another phone

vr.google.com/daydream/smartphonevr/phones/

A meme that will be forgotten soon.

What's a good phone that won't overheat when using it for light gaming like cardgames?

Just wondering, do you guys prefer the headphone jack to be at the top of the phone or the bottom?

I completely destroyed my op3 display and i need to retrieve all my data back AND actual conversations i have on various chat apps. I don't think retrieving chats convos is something possible, especially with apps like kik.

Also, the screen costs nearly 200 euros unless i want to receive it in two months and OP5 will be out soon a round 500 euros.
Should i buy a screen? Is there a way to see whats on my phone? Like a throaway display tester? I extremely need to retrieve my data and to see last messages.

Also, the phone is rooted but i could not use software to see what was on my phone because adb was not activated. Moreover i don t know if it's a good idea at all turning on a phone without the display plugged in

I don't really care as long as the phone actually has a headphone jack.

>skimmed on buying a $2 glass protector
You deserve this.

I don t think a screen protector would have been of any use when my grandfather landed a 50 kg vase full of gardening soil on the kitchen table because he had "no other place"

Replacement display is ~$100 from aliexpress, if it's shit just dispute and get your money back

Yeah but here I can' t receive aliexpress packages in less than two months.

Then you gonna have to pay for a repair oh well lesson learnt.

Be aware that OnePlus is super shitty about keeping accessories in stock. My only gripe about my OP3T is that they have never had the Dash car charger in stock ever since I've owned the device. And since OP uses their own proprietary "Dash" quick charging you can't really just go on Amazon and find a charger. They're only made by OP. Also their Dash charging cable, required for Dash charging, only comes in 150cm/5ft max.

Doesn't OPPO also use Dash Charge?

Is there much difference between redmi note 4 32gb 3gb ram and 64gb 4gb ram versions? Is there any offers for 64gb version atm?

Pay for a repair? I can do that myself, i just need a new screen. That was not even the point though, i could totally avoid spending 200 euros for a new screen when there is a NEW one coming out,

So my point is, can i retrieve my data? How? Can i see in some way last messages sent on the phone?

Just bought the US unlocked s7. Comes with case and 64 GB micro SD. $330. Did I do good?

Connect it to the PC and unload your data?? lmao.

Not much of a real world diffrence.

Repair the screen. It'll cost 200e but it'll also increase the resale value by about 200e

It's about $30 price difference for 1gb more RAM and 32gb more storage, you decide if it's worth it or not

Ok, I think it's nice that you don't have to play with sd cards.

I still use my Xperia Z1.

recommend me a (not too expensive) phone with focus on battery life that is at least equal to the Z1 in terms of performance, and the same size or smaller.

>Huawei P10 & P10 Plus Review - This Year’s Best Kept Secret | Ash Tailor
what about the P10 Lite? is it recommended?

Redmi 4 Prime
Redmi 4X

Yes, best price/quality

Quick question; for a $100, OnePlus One or Motorola Moto G4 Plus?

Not at its current price. it's just a midranger. might as well go for the Honor 8 or the Honor 8 lite.

Redmi 4X 32GB edition

Any phone with snapdragon 650/820, of the top of my head: redmi note 3 pro, xperia x compact, galaxy s7, htc 10; the redmi and htc phones are super cheap right now (130 and 240 dollars respectively), but only if you live in clapistan.

The snapdragon 425 also meets your requirement, but being a low end SoC it will most likely lag on any game you throw at it.

G4+.
OPO is way too old.

Hey guys-

I've been using the LG g5 for about a year, and I'm now looking for a new smartphone. The two I'm currently considering are the HTC 10 and the moto g5. I was leanimg towards the HTC 10, but it was pointed out to me that the moto is a bit cheaper on Amazon prime. (270usd vs 229 or so) the reviews make them stack up pretty even-anyone have experience with either or both of these phones?

I plan on using LineageOS on it. Is it still the way?

Currently have Nexus 6p on T-Mobile.
Needs to send it out for repairs.
Need a cheap phone to stick my sim card in so I can get calls in the meantime.

Any recommendations? $100usd +/-$20

Just need it to work. Would be a backup phone in case my usual home ever stops working.

Just walk into the store and buy a dumbphone. It just has to work for calls and texts, right?

Yeah, don't bother. G4+ is pretty nice.

Blu R1 HD 2/16 from Amazon.

HTC 10 is miles better.

Well, I answer and reply to work emails regularly while I'm on the floor. I also review and close tickets from my phone.
>work IT support

Thanks

Will I regret buying a Xiaomi Mi5 next month?

Yes. it's full of bugs and the GPS doesn't work.

>HTC 10 is miles better

Thanks user, glad to know my initial impression was correct

Fuck, google turns up a lot of issues with the GPS. Now I don't know what to get. I wanted something with Snapdragon 820 level of performance, gyro, fingerprint scanner and quickcharging. Of course it helps if the camera isn't a complete potato like Lenovo Zuk Z2 aswell.

Check out the Mi5s, it's about the same price and I belive the GPS performance is much better.

I'll sell you one for 90 no dolphin porn guaranteed

Hi.
Go to hell.

If I pay a little extra, can I get it with dolphin porn? I mean if not that's fine
