fpbp

Arch Linux is for professionals. You should probably stick with Ubuntu since you obviously know fuck all.

now you look like an arch user
I can't launch X11 if I install proprietary drivers. why?

Phoenix OS.

Arch linux is great for a ton of reasons, but which profession do you imagine is using arch?

openSUSE is the only distro where thumbnail preview works in Firefox's file picker

Windows 10 + Linux Subsystem

>Arch Linux is for professionals
Sorry, professionals want something that just werks since they have real work to do

MacOs

Mint

Arch developers

Linux + Windows 10 subsystem

devuan.org

Video game developers

Professionals find it easy and realize it's a better OS. Sorry you find it difficult to install. Personally I find it easy and only takes me an hour.

Macbooks come with OSX preinstalled and I heard it just works.

>distro
>not just setting your disk up yourself

Tried Arch on my laptop last week, and it had a lot of issues during the install and then broke again on the first update.

So went to meme OS 2, Solus. Had it up and going in 20min and it just werks. Nice and fast.

Arch would be nice if I had more time, or a secondary computer. But for the time being Solus does everything I want it to easier and faster than the other distros I've tried.

Works fine in Xubuntu.

post a screenshot. i'll be waiting.

You could use Solus OS if you want a fast and "just werks" distro.

How is Debian shitty though?

What is this tho?

Depends. I'd need to see your X11 logs.

>Arch Linux is for professionals
rolling release is unstable as fuck and not recommended if you have to get shit done/ can't afford any downtime
t. ubuntu at work, arch at home

Solus.

gentoo

is your font rendering really this shit or is it the image quality?

whilst not always seeded in truth, stereotypes exist for a reason

everytime i installed arch it would last a few weeks until an update fucked everything up

just go with ubuntu you fucking faggot

Mint is the most reliable and easy to use from my experience

>I can't launch X11 if I install proprietary drivers.
Same as with Fedora's akmod. Likely, the distro updated the kernel but Nvideo only supports 4.10.12 or whatever.

If you install prop drivers onl Arch, make sure not to upgrade your kernel without manual oversight.

>I find it easy and only takes me an hour.
Do you set up LVM? It takes legit 5 minutes to format, strap, grub, install all my packages in one go, enable systemd units and I'm done.

Used to be hard but after 5 years of Linux, it's less steps than removing the bloat from other systems.

Any distro netinst doesn't bloated

NetBSD

Gentoo unironically, everything just werks unless you use ANUS

Slackware 13.37

>Debian is shitty
Enjoy your Windows, loser.

Fedora

Gentoo, seriously.

looks like lxqt with windows 10 theme

guess you haven't tried debian with systemd yet

Why not Ubuntu? Because a bunch of neckbeards on a mongolian puppetry board will call you a noob? Ubuntu is objectively the best distro.
