Previous thread News >AB recruiting on GGn, RED and BIB
>Not sure what private trackers are all about? The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the highest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
Remember the following: >Staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before. >This is a thread for educational purposes only. Don't offer or ask for invites. >Staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers.
so i am using a fairly popular private tracker, for audio production shit. it is in english but made by russians. anyway i am suspicious as fuck of their uploaders, it is just the same few gigantic accounts that upload everything, the suspicious thing started some day ago. it was very obvious some person had released everything a company had, i can't find where. but on this tracker they upload one product every other day instead of everything at once, like the cherry pick what they want to upload and keep for themselves.
anyone into this shit that can inform me if i am correct? are there any other good audio production trackers?
i really dislike how they keep leaked/released shit to themselves and upload after half a year or some shit
1. Get in APL (be sure to use different username/email etc. 2. Wait for it to go back online (if it ever does) 3. Download all you want that is available there until you get banned for low ratio 4. ???? 5. PROFIT!
Chase Morgan
>127.0.0.1 You must be retarded.
Colton Jones
Freenet runs as a local service. ...I'm not downloading that, though.
>sets ban on You can't even fucking fake a log properly you nigger
Brayden Murphy
nyaa.si/view/760323 so you can get more than 2 seeds on one of most popular anime in recent history after a few years
Christopher Clark
Can anyone please explain what the fuck is going on?
Michael Lee
nyaa died along with essentially all of its old torrents, so AB/BakaBT are really the only places to get everything from. i'd be mocking AB for everything it does wrong right about now, but it's really the best one, seeing as BakaBT does a bad job at picking BD releases and also has banned series.
Justin Watson
Everyone is migrating their seedboxes to elastic AWS servers.
Aaron Stewart
does ADC have a lot of Japanese movie BDs/DVDs? by a lot, i mean if i were to pick some random, relatively popular movie released last year, would i find it? i'll use this one i've been meaning to watch as an example. i don't care if the movie is encoded on some other tracker, as this one in particular is indeed on trackers like PTP and avistaz, but rather my main reason in asking this question is for the subtitles embedded in the .m2ts files.
Leo Hall
Yeah probably. But you can't join anyway.
Dominic Walker
I mean xdcc still exists
Charles Campbell
xdcc is great for new files, but finding many releases of series from years ago that aren't shitty R1 DVD encodes is impossible.
Dominic Green
is it completely closed right now? i'm fine with waiting, i just didn't know.
Brayden Cruz
Who is this?
Jason Parker
bad retention for some older groups, and "you can get it somewhere else" isn't a selling point. xdcc is also possibly the worst experience possible for downloading more than 3 episodes at a time. AB has excellent organization and good retention.
Grayson Campbell
Possible. But it seems like AB lacks exclusive content.
Isaac White
What did he mean?
Easton Thompson
>exclusive content what the fuck does this even mean
James Walker
exclusive content isn't the point of private trackers
Isaiah Clark
hello rajeet
Chase Davis
i wish i were retarded enough to hang around this general to the point of knowing names of literal who's
Benjamin Campbell
How do I get on h4h?
Connor Morris
Definitely doesn't. For anime you have kuchikirukia encodes and people ripping DVDs of old anime. For music you have people ripping CDs.
Grayson Martinez
>kuchikirukia encodes This isn't a good thing lmao
James Cook
I wish rukia would stop uploading garbage to my favorite tracker
Julian Gutierrez
>kuchikirukia is a fucking cuck!!!!!!! his encodes are shit!!!!!!! no, fuck off. his encodes are good.
Christopher Brooks
t. rukia
Dylan Cook
t. kuchikirukia
Cameron Sullivan
idunno what youre talking about with that selective leaking stuff but audionews is good
Michael Clark
Does h4h still exists / has ever existed?
Cameron Cruz
has anyone joined kuchukirukia's new tracker animebits? only 720p anime with aac audio allowed
Adam Wood
can't believe i was meme'd into thinking ab wasn't necessary thanks to nyaa/bbt it's not even comparable to any other weeb tracker fuck u ptg
Charles Wright
I've been on animebytes for twelve hours and I'm already bored of it
What tracker should I collect next?
Chase Howard
Where is BTN recruiting from these days?
Connor Smith
so what happened to awesome-hd? I remember having an account there but the site times out.
Tyler Brown
No. It was a fake login screen that never worked. It's not a real tracker.
Henry Ward
my anus
Aaron Nguyen
>but the site times out no it doesnt
Levi Jenkins
Something chinese
Benjamin King
To be fair, before the recent happenings that combo could fulfill like 99% of your needs.
Grayson Murphy
What can you actually do with an Overdrive account? Why do Bib want you to have one so much to get on? If it's so useful why would I even need Bib if I can just use Overdrive?
Josiah Smith
hope you're backing up your data
someone's backing it up
Aiden Sanders
Man, how the hell are you supposed to figure out which release of an anime to grab on AB? Even if it's always bloatgirls, at least BBT actually gives half a shit about ensuring that you aren't watching ass versions without knowing beforehand
Justin Barnes
I see you're backing it up to every thread. That's smart thinking.
Samuel Brown
stop being a homosexual my man
Justin Davis
it does for me. did it change domain or something?
Evan Sanders
They want you to be able to UL new shit since ratio building can be rough of Bib just by leeching.
Most Overdrives are also filled with trash for bugmen but they all have some nuggets worth something, you pool all those nuggets into a big pile, well, you've got a nugget party going.
It's .me
Nicholas Nelson
thanks
>We require that passwords change every 90 days. Please change your password below.
imagine how many people are cycling their passwords 1->2->3... at this very second
Matthew Brooks
I just use derive from previous password on KeePass to keep it FRESH.
Luke Torres
I use this page to generate a password for every single website:
Then I just store it with Firefox's builtin password manager
Hudson Martinez
Oh so every library has different Overdrive accesses? I just presumed it was a universal service.
Chase Foster
Yes. Most libraries only have access to a fraction of the whole collection.
Joseph Anderson
Each library pays money for books, so some libraries may consider some books more worthy than others.
Logan Foster
all the Japanophile content you could want
Carson Campbell
can i make a request on red and then fill it myself for free buffer?
Ian Harris
>what is request tax
Ryan Harris
Current GGn's gold rates/store prices are complete garbage. >seed 250Gb of oldest neutral leech shit >get 4000 gold/month >means 2000 gold/month if your PC is on whole day and only off at night >20Gb upload potion cost 7000 gold >need to seed for more than 3 months to afford it GGn staff, you guys are fucking retarded.
Aaron Russell
t. ninjashitter
Brody Murphy
You are not using GGn's gold system properly.
Here is how I am using it.
1) Fire up ratiomaster. Don't worry you are not going to fake any upload/download
2) Go on GGn and look for torrents that a) have a huge file size b) are available elsewhere c) have a healthy number of seeds
3) Add these torrents to Ratiomaster. Set your upload rate to zero, and set the torrents completion to 100%. It appears as if you are 'cross-seeding' these torrents. Since there are a lot of peers you won't be caught
4) You get a good amount of gold when you are around the 2TB 'seeding' mark
