would i be an idiot to buy this?
Would i be an idiot to buy this?
I´ve this one, pretty good in my opinion
honestly a little rich for my blood
I currently use the pb278q
seems like a good line desu
>25 inches for $324.25+tax
>not even getting a 50 inch 4k tv from walmart
1440p is a gud resolution, only surpassed by 2560×1600
>TV as a monitor
Yes, it's only $349 for a 27" 4k IPS free-sync display
1440p is dead
I'll take a few milliseconds of extra lag before fishing out over twice the amount for a large format 4k monitor
Plenty of 4k TVs are HDMI 2.0 60hz with 4:4:4 nowadays
Get the U2515Hx for $299.99
Same panel, and higher quality.
yes this one does seem better now one more issue
how do i stage it so the moinitor i was given five or so years ago as a gift that i use as my main dies but looks like it was just due to age or malfunction
turn it off, pop it open, remove a few capacitors from the mainboard.
Screw the cover back on and there you go. Say turned it on, heard a few pops and it went black.
25" 1440p sucks, get 27"
4k 27 inch
lmao who needs this crap. 32+ in only acceptable for 4k
>no freesync
>no gsync
why bother?
I've been using 4k on my 24" display for like a week and it's been mostly fine
besides that it's literally double the pixels for $30
please read:
and
make a good investment and get your shit together.
also there's the /pcbg/ or /sqt/ for this kinds of threads
Not everyone's main focus is games
not everybody is a gaymen feggit
adaptive sync is only useful in games, but not in (graphic-heavy) workloads. so even if you needed a GPU, it wouldnt give you any advantages. and on non-graphical work any iGPU should suffice so adaptive sync is unnecessary here.
$24 discount?
you would be an idiot NOT to buy it!
I just got this one.
You just wasted $100, you can get 22-24" 1080p IPS displays for around $100, they'll even have VESA
I live in germany so I don't have access to the top notch offerings you can get in america. What you described would be only around 50$ less here.
Suppose it maybe doesn't matter then, though it's still a lot less sharp than 24" 1080p unless you sit pretty far away from your monitor
>Chinksus
yes
t. someone who's never used one
>Buying a cheapo 4K TV with shit colors
>Fucking your eyesight with such a huge screen in front of you
>Using a TV as a monitor
NICE MEME
I upgraded from a MD 20086, my hobby is fighting games and I wanted to experiment with a 27" for a while to see how it works out for me. Still, I will probably upgrade next year again now that I have a full time job.
depends on how close you are going to be when using it
>thinking your monitor has better "colors" when all you've done is crank up contrast and digital vibrance.
Anyone have the Asus MG28UQ?
this particular panel is 99% sRGB IPS panel, same as used in the dell ultrasharp U2515H.
It's not some shitty IPS.
my tv with a 4k IPS Quantum display is superior, I guarantee it.
>4k IPS Quantum display
The cheapest of which is $1000.
TVs are more prone to burn-ins
Probably should have gone TN 144hz for the 1ms response time and all that, although i know fighting games are locked to 60fps
From my research I got that input lag is the thing that is important with fighting games.
Right, but you ended up a 4ms panel, not that it'll really make a big difference
I oriented myself with this displaylag.com
The response time they use as marketing isn't that important apparently.
this isn't 2005 dude.
Overall won't be very different no
>tfw aussie and all good 27in ips 2k monitors are over 500$
I hooked up a cheap PC to my brother's 60" Flat screen
I doubt it's an old TV and it has burn-ins meanwhile my 6 year old monitor does not even when leaving it on all the time
27 inch 1440p user here, really wish I had gone 25. Ppi too low, just looks unimpressive
