1. Eats up too much rap, even with tab suspending extensions.
2. When you have it open, it won't let MacBook Pro sleep.

I reinstalled it after Firefox 54 came out, Chrome runs way faster/less cpu on my laptop.

There's something wrong with your system. Chrome doesn't use that much memory on macOS and it certainly doesn't prevent it from sleeping

I use Chrome with usually 40 tabs on macOS and it works perfectly fine. How did you manage to fuck up an idiot-proof browser?
chrome wont let computer sleep under windows if there is some Webrtc video embedded in one of the open webpages
there's more chance website wont be fully rendered in Chrome but it's way faster and it feels "lighter" because mozilla would choke on some internal memory bloat or something

Using Chromium right now, but it was the same when using Chrome. Perfectly smooth with 35-45 tabs, and my Macbook is 7 years old.

Then there's something wrong with your system, because it always goes to sleep fine for me with Chrome open, and if it were a common thing there'd be a high priority bug report about it.
I've tried everything it just won't sleep. And if I plug the power in it just keeps going to sleep them waking up. I ran some terminal commands and it says Chrome is preventing it from sleeping.

Two things I don't like about Chrome:
-Scrolling drop down menus on web sites is absolute shit. Not smooth, jumps too fast.
