Japanese call these "hage" it means bald man. Japanese do not like hage. Japanese think hage is ugly and weak. Many Japanese use the wig to hide hage.
But many foreign people are hage. almost foreign tourists are fat and hage. Does foreign countries like hage? how does it feel? In Japan hage is a great shame.

I don't really think it matters. I'd say baldness is associated with manliness, more than anything. A lot of people going for an aggressive/masculine look voluntarily go bald, or people who have widow's peak or are balding, since it's considered unattractive to be partially bald.
