What are the differences between Japanese food cultures and others

What are the differences between Japanese food cultures and others

Japan has four seasonings.

You also eat raw fish right?

YES

Sushi is just one of many Japanese foods.
Average number of eating sushi is only 1 or 2 times in a month for Japanese.

In addition to raw fish (Sushi & Sashimi), we have more seafood menu. "Baked Fish"
In my case, 50% fish & seafood and 50% meat, egg, & cheese/milk/yogurt desu

I like "Herring"

The rest of the word invented fire to cook food with
Japan has yet to discover such a primal science

I want to introduce you more Japanese Seafood.
"Stewed Fish"

"Fried Fish & Seafood"

man no disrespect intended but thats not looking like my kinda tucker, rather a steak desu

this coming from someone who eats mercury enriched salmon like five times a week

just out of interest does anyone believe australia has a unique food culture? we've just like mixed the best of everything personally really like it

"Steamed Seafood"

"Marinated Fish" might be similar to "Herring"

At least I hate Japanese food.

outside of sushi, ramen, and soba japanese food is either dog shit or copied from the west/india

>tfw Portuguese teached the Japs how to cook
>tfw before the Portuguese, Japs just ate things raw like savages
>tfw they just put Portuguese food on strange plates and eat with sticks and is therefore super original

You Japs and weaboos are disgraceful.

You're right.
Especially, I'm worried about farmed salmon. It contains many antibiotics and drugs also. But I also suspect growth hormones, pregnancy hormones, antibiotics and recombinant feed for meats, eggs and milk. That's modern life.

hi port,
we put your name on cooking, do you know?
Can you find "南蛮漬 Nanban-zuke" in pic ?
南蛮人 Nanban-jin means Portuguese and Spanish in 16 century Japan. 紅毛人 Komo-jin means Dutch and British 17 century Japan.

>What are the differences between Japanese food cultures and others
not eating rice every meal

How do the Japanese do it.

They made deep fried food taste BETTER.

indeed it is friend

hows jpan bruz what did you do today? do you smoke cones brackets marijuana brackets?

this.

Japanese food is exceptionally bland and flat tasting.

"Complexity of Taste" is something that is completely lacking from their cuisine.

salt, shoyu, dashi and mirin?

pretty much.

I traveled asia quite a bit and crave for their food from time to time. But everytime I go to an even very authentic Japanese restaurant, I come back with a feeling of regret.

Not that it tastes bad by any means, but Japanese food is really just eaten for the chic and the "organic" trend.

Japanese is busy every day desu.
I'm smoker and enjoy a pack of tobacco or additive-free natural tobacco.
How much does it cost tobacco in australia?
I'm just curious

We lived in forest and often went to sea for long time.
So forestfood are so many as well as seafood.

...

this is norwegian food not japanese

salmon in sushi was invented by norwegian salmon exporters

plus various Miso, Sake, Rice Vinegar, Ginger, Gobo, Yuzu,Umeboshi and so on

Japanese are disgusting rice eaters as well as rotten raw fish eaters

we appreciate norwegian salmon so much desu.
18 century Japanese in Toyama prefecture developed marinated trout/salmon sushi, do you know?

I didn't know.
In norway it's a meme that norway invented salmon sushi
but maybe it isn't true

Japanese people eat raw fish on average.
In Portugal we eat everything, stewed, fried, etc octopus, the whole pork, bacalhau(codfish),Black beans with rice.priest beans with tuna, canned tuna, lam with yellow rice

Post delicious molluscs

I suppose, we have something similar. Comes in a variety of flavors

Fin, I can eat it with Sake or White wine.

Greek, I love Squid with rice!!
Marinated Sardine looks delicious too!
I can live in Greece.
Why don't you export all of these to Japan?

Those are actually
>cuttlefish
>anchovy
But we use the shame recipes on squid/sardine too
Although squid is more popular as deep fried here

Fried squid/octopus is the best for Beer!!

So this is octopus with tomato and red wine sauce and pasta
Very popular in Greece and highly regarded food

Fun story
So one of my buddies is an officer in the Army and they get this every 2nd week or so as lunch
Recently his unit was tasked to guard a refugee camp with Syrians and since they were stationed next to them the kitchen would make extra food for them too
First time they served them pic related they would through it down and chant "WE WANT CHICKEN"

well i dunno but nothing beats this combo

Seafood with Uzo

looks very good and better than any one we have

We don't hate whales and dolphins for startes.

Guys,
Toco-yaki (Octopus balls)+Beer
Geso-age (Fried Squid/Octopus)+Beer
Very delicious desu

Why don't you serve Taco with Seafood?
Taco means octopus in Japan!

fyi, we serve taco with everything.

>Octopus balls
