I have nothing against pardos. Most are 100 times more attractive than any white woman I've met but I still think the whites in Brazil would have no problem wiping them out or developing an apartheid state. Just seems like the Brazilian thing to do.

Portuguese were "African lovers" since when? Majority of slaves during the Atlantic slave trade went to Portuguese America which is pretty much just Brazil now. I don't know how they were treated compared to American slaves but I'm sure it wasn't paradise. The only reason they didn't kill most of the natives was for the same reason that we didn't: money. What better way to make use of these people who already know the land than by exploiting them? They taught fishing tactics, hunting tactics, locations of large food sources, etc. And they formed a significant portion of the British army in the fight against France. Don't tell me this was because we "loved" the natives. No, it was because we were smarter than the Spanish in America and didn't kill off people we could exploit. And I guarantee 100% that the Portuguese did the exact same thing. Maybe things are different now because of all the mixing but I have never seen a pardo with a white person before. It's like they don't even live in the same country.

Odd, but there can be a couple reasons for this

In south people are majoritarily white, so you can be seeing mostly south/white people

And the other one, that i think its more accurate

While the country is mixed, richness is not

The rich are usually white, if you go the best, most expensive schools you will find that the majority of the students are white

If they are in the best schools, their chances of gaining an exchange program are higher

Now i am just extrapolating a bit

If you are meeting exchange students in there, its more likely that they belong to our best schools, and thus, they have a higher probability of being white
