Well shit that's a hard one since nowadays GPUs are more expensive and less available.

I do

Not gonna spend them on that I can tell you that much

i'd just hire a computer builder to go make me the best gaming computer $3000 can afford. i just wanna play games and that's you people's job, to fix my goddamn gaming computer because i'm too busy with tinder dates, parties and my job.

Fully unlocked Intel™ Core® i9® 7900X® with a custom liquid loop, for sure. Although you'll probably need more money, but you're not some poorfag, are you?

Don't forget Geeksquad protection.

Same one I just built except with $1500 worth of 1080 Ti and Gsync monitor instead of $300 worth of 1050 Ti and generic monitor.

I'd just get a server grade motherboard with 2 CPU's (from 1-2 years ago possibly used) max out the ram and get a Decent last year GPU with a 150/250 gb SSD and whats left to be spent in hard drives.

so what did you just build?

>intel quadra
oh dear

>t gaming computer

i really can't figure out what's wrong with that setup. well sorry i've been out too much, too busy fucking women and running my coffeeshop business ! oh well. i guess i'll just pay you to do it for me. build me something that can play Battlefield and Playerunknown, okay ? those games are pretty popular, i have to try them.

Depends on what it's for or what I need. I'm going to assume it's for my current needs.

I built a new desktop a few months ago so I obviously wouldn't build a desktop. My current laptop is from 2011 so I guess that if I had to replace one computer, I'd probably replace it. It's currently a 2011 15" MBP and if had to replace it with a $3000 budget I'd probably replace it with another 15" MBP. If I could get my hands on one, I'd probably get a 2015 MBP as the touch bar replacing the function keys on the 2016 model is completely useless for me and a complete gimmick.

32core epyc

It's a little under $3,000 if you take out all the things in the misc and, as the name suggests, might go down in price depending on the price of the RX Vega XTX

On liquor and girls

pcpartpicker.com/list/2PJ6zM

>build me something that can play Playerunknown

That would be $4000 + tip.

apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro?product=MPXW2LL

give me the detailed prices of every part. like the official receipt from the shop.

probably a dual lga2011 xeon desu senpai

Buy a Raspberry Pi 3
Spend the rest on dragon dildos

>not buying a raspberry pi 3 and some sort of open source 3D printer that you can use the raspberry pi to control
>not printing infinite dragon dildos

I would buy latest MacBook Pro.

Not kidding, I'd probably buy a macbook pro.

I'd build a matx box with 2 ssds and a decent video card, then spend the rest on 10gbe networking and a NAS (or two).

For me, it's the MacBook Pro.

I'd build basically the same thing I already have but spend like $2000 on a ridiculous 1440p G-Sync monitor

only game I play is WoW and fucking your mom fite me irl /flex

The best mobile computing device.

Best dual xeon i can afford with at least 64 gb of ram and a decent GPU or two.

I'd wait. Shit's too expensive right now and we're just seeing the first generation of some neat hardware. I'd like to see the second family of Ryzen come out, maybe see how VR materializes, etc.

I figure the next 12-18 months to be a good down time for tech purchases.

Christ, do people not know how to do some simple Google research?

A $1000 PC and save the rest.

Does that include peripherals and monitor?

for me, its the Strawberry Poptart, 1000 12-pack boxes of them

I've already got a desktop, a gaming PC, and a harem of laptops. Guess I'd try my hand at building a handheld.

I'd buy the most compact parts I can find, cram it all into a shell no bigger than the size of a Kindle Fire and buy some rosary beads to pray that it doesn't melt.

You sound like a massive douche.

We only use products that we have instore with a %60 markup to insure that the quality of your elite gaming pc x3 is as rad as ours

>its fucking real
swtor.com/community/showthread.php?s=d602c74feea67f060894db3408f3296a&t=56133

I'd just buy a bigger SSD, double my RAM, and order some pizzas and chicken tendies. I'm perfectly happy with my Libreboot laptop. Almost all new desktop hardware is botnet and is incompatible with Coreboot.

spend 500$ on hw and spend the other money on something meaningful

I'd spend 3 grand to fuck your wife instead.

>THE COMPUTERS FUCKING A WHITE MALE

>mITX Lemote motherboard with an 8-core Godson 3B processor
>2x8GB RAM
>240GB SSD
>7 port USB 3.0 PCIe card
>Lian Li PC-Y6
I'd spend the rest on 4TB Ultrastar drives for my server

something that costs 1000$
invest the rest and buy another 1000$ one 5 years later

What are you going to do with the other $2999?

this
it's what i have now. I would save the rest of the money

...

>Godson 3B
>emulating x86
BAD GOYIM

>emulating x86
What the hell are you on about?

>The Loongson 3 adds over 200 new instructions over Loongson 2. Their addition has the specific benefit of speeding up Intel x86 CPU emulation at a cost of 5% of the total die area. The new instructions help with emulation performance, for example QEMU (the only known example). The new instructions reduce the impact of executing x86/CISC-style instructions in the MIPS pipeline. With added improvements in QEMU from ICT, Loongson-3 achieves an average of 70% the performance of executing native binaries when running x86 binaries from nine benchmarks.

Huh, neat. Well for the record that feature will never be used in my build.

>geeksquad computer expert

About 10 Retropee Arcade cabinets if I had the space and tools.

motherfucking RAM POWER!!!

I'd personally prefer a gaming laptop that isn't overly obnoxious at this point

but if I were to build a high end machine it would be
mini itx silverstone case
high end ryzen
evga gtx 1080
high end asus mobo
16GB of standard ddr4 g.skill
m.2 samsung ssd
whatever name brand psu that has a 7 year warranty, probably a corsair
splurge on a nice 1440p 120hz monitor
and for storage get a cheap jbod enclosure with a few disks

dunno what that adds up to but it's probably enough

R7 1700 for 300$
Asus b350m mobo for 110$
corsair vengenace 3200 mhz 8gb ram stick for 70$
500gb ssd for 150$
3tb 7200 seagate hdd for 100$
Non modular bronze 700w psu for 60$
400q corsair case (literal black box, hate gamer gimmicky shit) for 70$
Top end rx vega gpu for 500$
Asus mg279q monitor ips 1440p 144hz monitor for 500$

lenovo yoga 720 15" laptop with the gtx 1050 and a 7700hq quadcore processor, full hd and wacom pen for 1100 $

Threadripper + Vega

>building pcs in 2k17
>get a macbook idiot

I'd hire someone in my country to travel to your house and fuck you mercilessly

You sound like a pathetic nerd

>tfw they stopped selling them in my third world country
>I used to take them glossed with Nutella.

Maybe it was for my own good,Maybe.

spend 1500 on great specs, safe money for when autism kicks in and i want something

>having $3000 to spend on one pc
I'd give my parents back the money since it's clear thats where it came from

Kek
Underrated

You're gonna sound like a pathetic nerd when I'm cumming in your tight little ass you fucking fag

idk what's wrong with you guys saying 3k is too much or that you could build 3pcs with that money

3k is standard fare... you can barely get something acceptable for much less than that.

>living in a country that embraces immigration
found your problem

it isn't much cheaper in the US either.

yes and they have a big black problem, I doubt it's coincidence

kek it's actually cheaper in Canada
the same system is 2.4k USD which is about 3k CAD vs 2.8k CAD buying it in canada directly

you're and idiot
point is, 3k isn't much for a whole system

>you're and idiot
>you are and idiot
why? d oyou honestly think embracing immigration is a good thing? the fact that minorities make up for the majority of crime doesn't strike you as worry some?

i'm white as a sheet of paper and hate immigrants too it just isn't the point of the thread

>bragging about tinder dates
breeders are the funniest

can you fuck off and post about relevant shit
if i wanted to read people's personal blogging about how trudeau is a cuck, i'd actually go on Sup Forums

this sounds good, and 1-2 1TB SSDs

>tfw you fell for the 12GiB RAM power meme

Sounds like a sad empty life

No offense m8 but you're a bit of a dipshit if the adult-equivalent of Legos is too much of a time investment to learn for you

I would probably go with this, but I went $20 or so over.
pcpartpicker.com/list/NQZktJ

Buy a MacBook and spend the rest on poptarts

Threadripper + 32Gigs RAM + 1TB SSD + 1080 Ti + all the RGB shit

wii u

I'd spend around 500 and keep the rest in my bank account.

I'd get a decent PSU and a Firepro w9100
Pair with sempron 3850 for the lols in speccy threads

>here are my specs
>gaming mouse
>monitor
>sound card

>RX 580
>4k monitor
What did he mean by this?

Pretty sure ryzen CPUs come with decent cpu coolers, use stock
You don't need 32gigs and that ram isn't fast enough anyway
4k is a meme, and have fun using it with a 580
>150$ on peripherals
Stop

Subtle troll.
Good job.

None, 3000 isn't enough for a good build.

I'd probably buy a really good laptop and a 90Hz 3440x1440 monitor.

Oh shit and
>bluray player

you don't come here often do you?

what's your job, Sup Forums peasant?

You forgot your [/troll] tags.

I'm literally going to buy this build.
I can get a cheaper GPU since I don't game. I want a 4k monitor just for screen real estate. I'm a software engineer, so I have a lot of environments in VMs and need a lot of ram and a lot of cores for C++ compilation.
>150 on peripherals
What's this supposed to mean? Am I supposed to spend less than 100$ on a keyboard? How is that even possible without getting some chinkshit with knockoff cherry switches?

pls explain

One that can run libreboot

I actually build this gaming rig for $3000.
Translation from russian: "That user with $3000 PC piss on poor cocksuckers".

tfw only 8 gigs of ram power

i'd build 12 macbook pros and sell them
