Running lineageOS on Moto G4

>running lineageOS on Moto G4
>update
>keep getting boot loop where it crashes and the phone restarts
>5 mins pass and it e eventually boots up
>sim card stop being detected (works on other phone)

So I tried to fix it...
>flash older version
>problem carries across
>flash newest version
>problem persists
>boot up takes 5 mins and sim not detected

Its 1am, I have work tomorrow and have important fucking calls to make.

How do I fix this? Should I wipe everything and reinstall it again?

Holy fuck I have had nothing but problems running lineageOS

Flash stock rom

Stock ROM is trash and doesn't respect my freedoms
Cyanogen mod was based but its kill

Now the shitty, lazy and borderline retarded lineageOS devs fuck up my phone EVERY UPDATE

Welcome to open source

Check if update utility made a backup in recovery menu. Revert, if there's one.

Also, always make backups before updating a rom.

sim cards can take a minute or dozen to be detected
also, if you fuck around with gapps' permissions it can brick your phone and you have to go in and delete an xml file, so be careful

lol android

dl.omnirom.org
get something from non retarted people
>ex-cm devs
>befor cm went corporate
>respects freedom

no back up unfortunately...

I've never had this sim card problem before and it has been almost 3 hours now with this problem.

Tell me more about the gapps permissions, I never bothered to install google apps

I'll check it out before I delete everything and install a new rom

>no back up unfortunately...
Then you have no one but yourself to blame, retard.

just realized
lmgtfy.com/?q=lineageos no sim card
and next time,

I've read all first 4 results and there was nothing there that tells me how to fix it

I just wiped everything and flashed the newest lineageOS

The boot loop issue seems to be resolved

BUT MY PHONE STILL CANT DETECT MY SIM

WTF

Stop being so retarded. Both are the same thing except one has shitty gimmick features, is made by useless devs and runs like shit.

You can either flash stock or enoy your bootloops.

install OmniROM

How about you don't fuck around with ROMs if you use that phone for work.

Is it possible that the sim doesn't make contact with the pins anymore?

moto harpia not supported

stock is literally cancer

*#06#
Does it return zeros?

Have you got a backup of your efs partition? If that gets corrupted, it can break exactly the way you're saying.

restart it again, you double nigger
fuck off

/thread
Also, use Google OP, and you seriously should have at least a backup phone if you actually need it for work
You deserve this

>Its 1am, I have work tomorrow and have important fucking calls to make.

Don't root your work phone just because you wanna be a maverick sarah palin. Dumbass.

how does that shit work with being on a moto phone, do you still have the gestures for the light and camera and other cool moto shit?

>I have work tomorrow and have important fucking calls to make
So... You have important calls to make and yet you decided that it would be smart to tinker with unstable software on your only device which can make calls?

I would still a Nokia for work if my cuntry didn't kill 2G networks so 4G can have more bandwidth.

The sim works on my back up phone

My Moto G has the bootloop issue no matter what version of LinOS i download from the website

when it does eventually load the sim is never detected, even after wiping EVERYTHING and installing a fresh new linOS ROM.

What a fucking joke. Now I have no idea what the fuck to do.

I don't. What should I do now?

>complains about tinkering with his only phone that he fucked things up
>doesn't have a back up
>refuses to do the only thing that would work
>"muh freedoms stock is cancer"
You deserve everything you fucking nigger

Install Gentoo

i would guess flash stock and ensure it works, copy it and then reflash lineage.

alright

Efs partition is where your imei is kept. You're fucked without it. That's why you make backups

Wow. You are fucked.

you're speaking another language to me m8

Think of imei as your Sim verification number. Without the number your Sim can't "verify" and it can't be used

This is not a ROM problem. It's a Moto G problem. My Moto G2 was with this problem, I just unplugged the SIM card and changed the SIM slot. Still working.
It it still now working, put a piece of paper in it, so it make a little force or something.

>How do I fix this? Should I wipe everything and reinstall it again?
Here's how you fix it you stupid retard. You take your shit phone and you take it to the closest Apple store and just trade up for an iPhone. They will even recycle your shitdroid phone for you.

So next time something happens, you can just take your phone to the closest Apple store and they'll fix it for you in few minutes time or they'll give you a brand new phone.

Then you won't have to waste your life away on pointless shit and you won't have to make idiotic threads on Sup Forums.

>android

There is no second slim slot on mine
The sim detection issue occurred after I updated my OS

How do I find out of its broken and how do I fix it?

Do this OP, type that shit on the dialer

But you should try the paper. Worked on mine.

Will do

Trying but phone is taking forever to even work

>Its 1am, I have work tomorrow and have important fucking calls to make.

Then you should never mess with custom ROMs, you fucking stupid person.

Stay on marshmallow op, that's your best option

Wipe your fucking caches and system partition before you flash a fucking ROM, dammit. Are you new at this?

>let's flash lineageos on my redmi note 3 pro
>bootloader unlocked
>last miui stable
>try flash lineage 14
>error 7
>flash last developer miui
>again
>error 7
>search tips on xda
>try everything
>still error 7
>AH OK, LET'S TRY LINEAGE 13
>error 7 again
>flash zip with some files for miui8 from lineageos thread
>...
>error 7 again
>flash last stable miui 8
>so far so good

FUCK XIAOMI AND LINEAGEOS. I use Android custom roms and kernels since 2012. I used Motorola devices, Samsung devices, Nexus devices and Sony devices.

They all worked perfectly. Only this shit of XIAOMI and Lineageos is that do not work.

MIUI is one of the best android roms if not the best
