I need to destroy my router today, without leaving any trace, I myself and pretty tech savvy unlike the rest of my family members, we are currently running a 2mb down and .3mb up wifi, everyone in my family hates the slow wifi and we all enjoy streaming movies and stuff, we have like 8 devices always connected (7 ppl in my family)
Recently we all agreed to get a 200mb comcast plan but the owner of the plan we have now is to lazy to switch, by silently destroying the router today I feel like it will be the final push. (We are constantly having esch other get off the wifi so we can load google, LITTERLY fuck verizon)
What would be the best method of destroying the shitty free router we have without leavint a trace.
Jackson Murphy
Wood chipper.

The plan is from like 2008 and verizon sent us a free router that is now half melted.
Michael Gonzalez
dont destroy it, make it unusable with DDoS
Ryder Gutierrez
Unscrew it to reveal internals, take a lighter to components that look important until you believe damage has been done. Wipe off the black stuff the lighter leaves and plug it back in, if it does not function then re-screw it together and put it back. Bam, mysterious heat damage you can blame on your router being shitty and hot. Well shit my plan would actually work better than I originally thought it would.

This sounds great, I can post some nice tech gore posts here.

if it has firmware upgrade stuff, download latest firmware, open it in hex editor and change some values at random places. If upgrading doesnt require hash checking there u go. What model is that?

Why can't you just buy a new router and replace it yourself?
Evan Lopez
If the router mysteriously breaks people in my house will think the wifi stopped and boom, a reason to upgrade.
