sleepy time shitbox

Whole setup was found in the garbage, piece by piece, over the course of about a year or so.

proudly the fastest RX 580 on UserBenchmark

Don't you mean the fastest RX 480 on userbenchmark? Its still a 480

RX 480 and RX 580 are literally the same exact card, including the PCBs. The only difference is bios and in theory slightly higher binned chips (meaning higher overclocks).

It would also be the fastest RX 480 by quite a margin, but some knee grow found a way to cheat the benchmark.

power delivery is also beefier numbnuts
you're going to fry your 480 doing this

It's not. I've done my research before doing anything crazy. As I said, most of RX 580 have LITERALLY the same PCB without any changes whatsoever.
Besides my RX 480 has a pretty beefy 6-phase VRM to begin with, I don't think it would fry even if I'd voltmodded it and started overclocking on LN2.

Returned the S32D850 monitor because of banding, should I pull the trigger on a Benq PD3200Q?
I'm tired of waiting for a good 32'' 4k VA panel.

>6 phase
>beefy
>for a now 300W card

It needs a 8800 GTX to be just perfect.

Exactly what I've been thinking since I assembled it. I want to get one for it but another part of me wants to keep it "genuine" so only parts from the garbage, unless it's necessary for it to run (keyboard/mouse etc.). I do play older games like San Andreas and NFS Underground 2 on this system, even if it runs at 20-30FPS. It gives me an autistic little nostalgia.

>300W card
[citation needed]

It goes up to 170W for GPU only in 3dmark. At the very most it uses 210-220W for the whole card, probably even less.
Also, the reference R9 290X used 6 phases, and that was genuinely a 300W card. I know a guy who had a overclocked reference 290X running on watercooling, probably pulled 400W+ for the GPU alone. And you know what? The VRM held up fine.

I appreciate your concern about my card, but this ain't my first rodeo. The mosfets are well within spec and there's no way they can blow up.

Either way it's a great wayback machine.
I just feel like adding the GPU and maybe extra 2 GB RAM would transform it into a period correct monster.

2gb 980ti?

>he still doesn't know speccy is fucked

Yeah. The 2GBs of RAM is fine for now, but I may upgrade to 4 if I find another 2GB stick, my mobo only has 2 slots.

Wanna upgrade but no need to.
>tfw 55c under full load for both CPU and GPU after 2hrs
I think I'm curing my "freak out over 40c" autism

Too poor to upgrade.
