So, I'm trying to buy a 4k TV and at the same time trying to understand which one is better as all TVs have fake/not shown specs. I came up with either Sony or Samsung.
With Samsung, I don't know if the KS8000 is worth the money over the KS7000.
With Sony, I wanted to get the X900E or maybe the X930E, but when I try to find one, I can't. I don't understand if it's the codename that it's different in Europe (I live in Italy), but I can't find a single seller. The only thing I can find are Sony (BRAVIA?) models like XE90, XE93. Are those the same thing as X900E/X930E? Or are those older models? I literally can't find no information anywhere
>With Samsung, I don't know if the KS8000 is worth the money over the KS7000.
That depends if we are talking about the USA models or the EU models.
KS7000EU = KS8000NA
If EU model, the 7000 and the 8000 have identical panels, just the build around it is different so not worth the money.
I'm guessing the KS7000 in NA is equal to the KS6400 in the EU or something.
In which case it is definately worth the money to go for the KS7000, it has a true 10 bit panel, is capable of very good HDR as opposed to the KS6400 and also the refresh rate is better

Fuck the last sentence would have to be 'In that case it is worth it to go for the KS8000"

Kek got it
So the choice is between KS8000 and XE90/X900E
Samsung has the 10bit panel, while Sony has a technology that fakes 14bit or something on those lines Both have good OS imo, despite the hatred for Android TV I have found the XE9005 for 100 bucks less, though Everything else is about the same, I guess
What do you think? Also, no OLED, I'm still studying at uni so i don't have the money for that

I'm on 1165. Thanks for the heads up and fuck Samsung in the ass. I'll definitely get Sony as my next TV.

I have the KS8000 and it's excellent.
It's also about as good as tvs get for gaming since the input lag is only 21ms in gaming mode, which is best in business.
I'm not sure about the sony model

I'm on 1180 and my backlight is exactly the same as it was

He was ranting based on people complaining
Then he actualy did the update himself, analysed before and after and actualy concluded image quality had improved and that people were probably fucking up the settings themselves.
