>Clover
Great. Also dashchan fork for cripplechan
>Firefox
Use fennec from archive
>Conversations
Idk
>Ghost Commander
Ugly pos. I use xplore literally the only app outside fdroid. Loved from from symbian days. Has google analytics though. Older version had an option to (((disable))) it but on newer version, data collection seems mandatory. Analytics are blocked using adaway so it doesnt matter.
>NewPipe
Great
>VLC
Great but old. Use alpha debug from vlc site.

>AdAway
Very recommended for rooted. If not Dns66 is the way which doesnt work below android 5 though.
>AFWall+
Meh. You can use system settings to block though.
>AN2Linux
Dont know
>Antennapod
Literally just add streams to vlc
>Calendar (simple mobile tools)
Great. This orange icon neckbeard makes pretty good apps.
>Clover

>FreeOTP

I use lineage root.
>Unit Converter Ultimate
Useful
>Wikipedia
Just use a browser. Nice for offline though
>Yalp Store
Neat option

I recommend
>easy open link
>spaRSS
>termux
>brick game
>1010! Klooni
>apps by ligi like material tea timer, survival guide
and many more. See for yourself

>>KDEConnect
>I use xfce so idk
You can use it in any DE, don't think it has massive dependencies.

Any recommended camera apps other than OpenCamera? I hate the sharpening effect it adds to every picture

Just tried to install on Debian (cinnamon)
>After this operation, 243 MB of additional disk space will be used
I think you're wrong, kiddo

FF Updater, AdAway, LibreTorrent, NyaaPantsu

>Debian
Feels bad to be you

On the contrary, it's very comfy desu

What do people use termux for other than neofetch???

MuPDF mini
Net Monitor

>not being able to spare a quarter of a gig

How poor are you?

malware ridden 'apps'

It comes down to functionality per unit of space. At the current ratio this counts as bloat. Plenty of space for things that deserve it.

Oh and KDE loves to run own daemons in the background even with a different DE. No thanks.

Unrelated question: what's the use of terminal emulators other than to install obscure/old scripts

screenfetch

Fair. Someone needs to make a gtk kdeconnect competitor. I'm using KDE at the moment and connect is so nice. Don't know what I'm going to without it when I switch to a gtk WM only.

>KDE loves to run own daemons in the background even with a different DE
Such as?

Didn't they remove Firefox?

ssh

Yes. My bad.

Great suggestions so far, only things I have to add are
>OpenKeychain
>IceCat Mobile
>SearchBasedLauncher
>Hacker's Keyboard

Ooniprobe is also somewhat fun

Thanks all

Hacker's Keyboard
KISS launcher
Obsqr
Termux

>kiss launcher
Is there any way to autolaunch apps when you type part of their name in, similarly to SearchBasedLauncher? I tried it once and didn't find a way to do it, but maybe I'm just retarded like that.

in other words it's useless

4u

Skytube is also good.
I just wish someone would merge Skytube and NewPipe into one app because each one has features the other one needs.

Been using T-UI as my luancher for a while but I kinda want to go back to a more standard launcher. Any suggestions fellow posters?

Why isn't there an aesthetically pleasing open source launcher yet?

>aesthetically pleasing
>open source

Lawnchair with blur

IRC

How malware are these apps though

newpipe
chanu

very install be

Is there a game like mine sweeper on fdroid
i need something to do between shits

I use nova with kiss launcher setted to home button

not possible because half of the features of newpipe are only possible because they don't use the YouTube api. skytube does in order to provide comment support so they are unable to provide background video among other things.

any app that turns off pixel like pixel off or pixel battery saver?

Literally searchbasedlauncher

Openlauncher is good as fuck it's just a little buggy.

Well the only things I wish skytube had that it doesn't but newtube does is video downloading and the video hover thing.
Why wouldn't you be able to mix those two? Is it a terms of use that if you're using the API you can't do those things?

Serious question, I really don't know.

silverfish ftw!

I take it back, lawnchair is pretty good. It's icon pack support sucks tho.

definitely not

Can I get a quick rundown of what DNS66 is, how it works and if I should install it?

it allows you to use custom hostfiles to filter ad servers and what not(similar to a browser adblocker, but system wide). I use it and I like it.

Is there a f-droid equivalent to Titanium Backup?

There doesn't seem to be many custimization options. Home screen also seems useless. Literal shuttle

Why it doesn't work for apps like adaway?

Newpipe for YouTube that can play in background

For manga I would suggest
Mi manga nu
Tachiyomi

Both allow downloads of manga from other sites and also update periodically for new releases

Libretorrent
Lightning for a fast browser experience and less bloat
Clover for Android definitely worth it and saves a lot on battery life than the app on Google play did.

Oandbackup is the closest

Can you install cli apps like youtibe-dl rtorrent?

If I remember right Ahkzou is no longer updated and has been for awhile.

Nothing to do with minesweeper but if you're a rhythmfag try Opsu, it's open source osu that works with the original osu beatmaps.

My favorite Newpipe feature.

Works on my machine ™

... check and see if it's set to exclude any apps

this shit always happens when playing audio in background.

yes

How? The repo has only a handfull of apps

f-droid.org/packages/name.boyle.chris.sgtpuzzles/

anyone?

Never happened to me on any version desu..

>Lightning
I use Opera Mini and it's pretty fine, is this any better?

SecDroid
Wi-Fi Privacy Police
Document Viewer
LibreOffice Viewer
Dumbphone Assistant
WiFiAnalyzer
+
Mozilla Firefox Mobile
Barcode Scanner

I use it for the minimal UI and the Adblock. Can't compare to opera but install it and give it a go.

Is Yalp Store a botnet?

Everything is

Please i am begging you guys

ssh, mc, ffmpeg, imagemagick, youtube-dl, python, clang, vim, mpsyt.

You can get youtube-dl from pip (pip install youtube-dl) and aria2c from repos for torrents.

I just want to know if i can install applications that arent actually in the repo.

You can make your own packages, but it's quite tricky. github.com/termux/termux-packages

Fuck it i'm to stupid for that

It's really useful if you don't want to root your phone for adaway, but need a system-wide adblocker. It's basically uses a DNS to filter ads using VPN configuration to do it.

It's pretty good.

It's not, it doesn't block shit. I'll root this shit and get Adaway back
