Previous thread: Suggestions for new resources are welcome. The Gentoomen /sec/ community is looking for CTF team members, contact them at the IRC channel.
OP message: I'm still reorganising and collating resources into a draft for publishing them on their various pastebins. Thank you for your patience.
I'd say so. But it certainly depends on the currency and whether it values privacy and security or not. Although, for real world transactions to prevent local tracking, I would advise the use of physical cash.
Cooper Clark
Got my 2nd hand super computer mining monero, 20 480 cores.
Benjamin King
Are you the Bunker dude?
Gabriel Taylor
5th for Bunkerbro is /cyb/
Oliver Butler
>480 core armshit? gpushit?
Elijah Rivera
Yes.
No, 640 blade servers with opterons, 1280 x 16 core (32 threads) opterons.
tldw: she supposedly reconstructed a crude (but still) image of the desktop by tuning in to the frequency of the RAM of the monitored device (a laptop).
If this is true, does this not mean this method bypasses any relevant digital security because it directly taps into physical processes? "disguising" how bits are switched is impossible isn't it?
why is this not big news? or did I miss something.
Grayson King
Pic. 1.6mw capacity.
26 monero/day ~$1040
It's racked.
Ethan Jones
Yeah that's why I asked, because I saw the picture was old.
Owen Gonzalez
How much did it cost? I've heard of you before, but it's my first time seeing you post so I'm not fully aware of the story behind your machines.
Eli Lewis
what am I looking at here?
Lincoln Nguyen
how do securityfags browse the web?
allegedly there are firefox 0days out there ffs
Logan Hall
there are 0days for everything, son
thats why theyre called 0days, after all
Jeremiah Miller
yeah but firefox should have been designed with security in mind, to make that impossible because everybody browses the web and it's the biggest target
Ian Lewis
>want to learn about information security >can't make myself focus on a book for more than 10 minutes
how the FUCK can i fix my attention span i cant learn shit and i'm fucking FREAKING out
Hudson Thompson
Are you distracted by imageboards?
Noah Nelson
ADD meds such as ridilin, Focalin, or Adderall
Oliver Turner
Yes. I was also distracted by video games, and I uninstalled everything already, but my attention span is fucked now
I'll keep this as a last resort, but I want to avoid drugging myself to get anything done. I want to fix my attention span so I can study for longer amounts of time
Jason Gonzalez
Either print the study material and go to a public library or get a craptop with no networking and go to the library. Make sure the library has no people chatting and that there are people around.
Landon Roberts
HPE stopped making those enclosures after they bought the SimpliVity bullshit earlier this year, so you might sell them for some good money after you are done wasting electricity on mining.
Alexander Hall
1. Use the pomodoro method. 25 min focus, 5 min break. Go 2 rounds then do 10-15 minutes break. In the beginning, you can even start lower if you really have trouble. Try 10 min focus, 5 min break and go from there.
2. Clean your space, place the book in front of you, PLANT YOUR FEET FIRMLY ON THE GROUND, and don't move them. I know it sounds silly, but it freaking works.
4. Make sure you are not hungry or thirsty. And bring some snacks (walnuts are great! they even look like little brains)
Michael Peterson
need some discipline, don't think asking here will fix your problem. it's a thing you have to work on yourself, since not everyone is the same.
Josiah Perez
Good grief that's 673 KH/s Are you having to pay for the electricity??
Jason Watson
I'll try these out, thank you very much for the tips
I realize this, I need more discipline in general and I'm trying to improve on this. I would like some tips on how to improve discipline in general
Adam Richardson
again, this general wouldn't be my first choice for asking for tips in. but hey whatever.
Andrew Evans
Discipline does come (to a certain extend) with practice. Which is why I suggest starting easy (like the pomodoro method "light"). You could even set yourself small goals. Instead of saying "I will now read 3 chapters", why not just 1 page and then go from there. Read one page and see if you want to read more. Do that until you come to a point where you can't focus anymore. Take a short break (don't overdo it! Just walk around, do some pushups, grab some snacks, make some coffee/tea, open a window.. stuff like that). And then start easy again.
I used to set myself way too high goals when I simply was not used to working for prolonged periods of time, but the more I did it successfully - on my own terms and goals - the better I got at it.
William Wood
Is it possible to learn about anything related to programming without actually applying the examples though? Reading a programming book is good, doing exercises seems more useful.
Benjamin Wood
Well yea, just reading a book will not help you much with programming unless you are already familiar with it. You can however, write out the code by hand and then type it in later. Or just use a laptop of course.
Although, I cannot for the life of me, read longer text on a laptop.. I need it either in paper form or on my ebook reader.
Jaxson Morales
Would be to naive to ask to all anons what are your plans for the weekend? Like stydying some specific topic or building something.
Christopher Walker
Plans for the weekend: >make sure this little illness I got gets btfo >clean my desk clutter >continue with CompTia + course from prof. messer >have some coffee >have some more coffee >prepare some stuff for work next week >Continue reading a book about Cryptography >possible get rid of some stuff to make space for a workbench >continue re-reading Neuromancer >maybe start watching season 2 of Mr. Robot >and maybe some socializing tomorrow while having said coffee
Bentley Rodriguez
>maybe start watching season 2 of Mr. Robot You remind me that nobody arounds me watches Mr.Robot so I'm safe from Season 3 spoilers until it ends and I would be able to devour it all.
Ryder Bennett
I don't know anyone either. Then again, I just started watching it this week, giving it a chance. And I like it so far, especially for the Fight Club vibe and the actuall hacking stuff (inb4 edgy)
Looking forward to season 2
Camden Thomas
Just got my copy of Neuromancer!!!
What does this general think of it?
Isaac Green
I think you will like it. Maybe it lacks a little more tech stuff but pretty awesome imo. Sharing my plans would be:
>Trying fucking finally LXC >Installing Owncloud >Probably will end up here asking for tips to harding it
Maybe I will migrate a forum a friend of mine was handling in another container but it is not sure yet.
Gabriel Barnes
The very first sentence makes clear that this book is Cyberpunk as fuck!
Carter Stewart
>lxc >not docker or kvm why
Luis Thompson
I've asked a few times in different generals, and seems like that's overkill in complexity and functionality for what I want.
I will be running a cloud and a forum only, one in each container probably. In a little Odroid I have.
Juan Williams
$80k
A 24kv to 400v transformer.
I like them, had some at my workplace. They just released gen10 blades, so should be ok ~2 more years.
Electricity is $0.02 kw/h, cheapest in Europe after Iceland (its free there).
Dominic Martin

Grayson Bell
Sick bunker! Got more pics?
Andrew Johnson
Do you have a leddit account or some kind of blog? I'd love to follow your posts
Ian Ortiz
He hagns out from time to time in /diy/
Evan Davis
>I'd love to go to leddit
Jayden Brooks
>considering reddit Go back.
John Perry
kys. the monero sub is a wealth of information.
Jacob Long
maybe this is the thread to ask
Fedora or Debian sid?
David Wilson
>eating salad in a restaurant >olives are pretty good but the rest of the salad is shit >order another salad and recommend it to all my friends
Camden Lee
...
Brandon Green
It is nothing short of the defining work of Cyberpunk, setting the standard for others to attempt and fail to surpass.
Henry Carter
is the suggested blender add-on outdated?
Owen Rogers
Why can we not trivially defeat length-extension attacks by specifying that a message is only valid if the padding is the absolute last thing in the message? Assume it's the pattern 10*n where n is the length of the message before the padding.
Brody Jackson
What blender add-on?
Nicholas Gomez
this thread sucks ass
Aaron James
that's pretty cool dude good luck
Colton White
bump for interest
Jose Adams
I think it is more for the friendly linux general than here unless your specify your question making it /sec/ related.
Justin Gutierrez
Try them both and keep the one you like the most. Now fuck off with your stupid questions or go to /sqt/
Xavier Robinson
it is /sec/ related
kys moron
Xavier Ward
As I told, you SPECIFY your question, or you're just saying is right.
Jacob Gray
>asking which is preferable within thread context >not specific enough
you know, why don't you just shut the fuck up if you have nothing relevant to say?
Brody Cruz
>I already specified >debian or fedora hurr Yeah, pretty specific derp.
Grayson Gutierrez
fuck off faggot, the way you ask it without context it sounds like the baiting retards that keep spamming "hurrr durrr aplel/AyyMD/Jewtel BTFO" fucking nigger
Connor Gray
>within thread context prove it or
Lincoln Smith
I already told you to kys moron
Kevin Perez
top lel have a nice day faggot :^)
Jaxson Taylor
You guys, have some cyberpunk rooms instead
Robert Edwards
FUCK OFF
Liam Foster
...
Christian Reyes
Same area as pic before, back when I just bought it.
These "cyberpunk rooms" all look extremely depressing
What's wrong with a little sunlight?
Imagine living in the middle of nowhere, opening your windows and seeing hills and trees for miles and miles, sitting on your creaky chair with an old wooden table. Couldn't get comfier than that.
Grayson Sullivan
tf is this this
why is cybshit synonymous with too many monitors
comfy
Henry Parker
...
Ryan Thompson
I like to see you stick with us Bunkerbro. Sorry if I bother you with spam.
Because it is supposed that in that future land will be ravaged and replaced with glass and concrete. At least on earth.
>tf is this this I felt bad just helping with 1 image.
Awesome! Again, thank you, I am having a great time with the music.
I've been trying to get most of their stuff together, really awesome stuff.
I also don't know why it fits so well, but I've been re-reading Neuromancer, and during the fast paced scenes in the book, this music just fits perfectly
