red hat linux 8 and 9 before fedora (not red hat enterprise, which was later)
bluecurve was a theme they made for both kde 3 and gnome 1.4 (?) so it'd look the same and people wouldn't bicker about the differences.

Nice. Yeah I always set up configuration similar to this. Its really easy and takes only a few minutes. Its just basic clear traditionalOK theme with everything moved to top panel to save space. Also using the bluecurve icon theme and infinality fonts installed.
Using Ubuntu mate 17.04 now and has less options before with everything moving to gtk3. The only theme that looks ok is traditional ok imo and cant change the colors in appearance menu.
