HD6XX if you don't mind the December 18th ship date
Kayden Cooper
Absolute legend. Thanks m8
Jackson Wilson
DAC X6 unless you have low impedance shit then stay the fuck away from it.
Kayden Lee
That's a cute frog
Luke Phillips
Sent the elears back cause channel imbalance. Got to order some new ones.
Jackson Young
Screenshot is from Gamers!! ep2, if you care.
Jace Cruz
I care :^)
Angel Myers
>spending hundreds of dollars on audio equipment to listen to weeb trash
Nicholas Clark
^_^ You, too, can get decent audio equipment and listen to arbitrary music with it.
Adam Anderson
Figured why the HD 600 is shilled so much here, seems like the most vocal shitposters only listen to mid-centric genres
Colton Sanders
I have a pair of 598 and it has decent soundstage. Is there something that's better in terms of soundstage/ positional audio?
Isaiah Thomas
Sennheiser HE 1
Owen Morgan
>vocal shitposters seiyuu idols are bliss >mid-centric Most of the interesting stuff is happening in the midrange. It's not just the voices that live there, but most of the range of most instruments, and most of the sensitivity of your ears.
Liam Barnes
Yep that's what I do.
Now as for my next purchase, I'm debating between the HD800 and HE-560.
Landon Cruz
What would you define as low? 50Ω ? Sub-50Ω ?
Chase Peterson
>HD800 treble rape
>HE-560 chink shit build quality
Kayden Johnson
I use EQ so I don't care about FR by and large. And I have prime so QC doesn't matter to me either.
Josiah Lewis
Need something to damp out the peaky treble you get from idol singers because all japs have crooked teeth that cause sharp resonances when air passes through them
Jeremiah Torres
How are the HD 630VB?
Hunter Edwards
Nice waifu btw. Her seiyuu is voicing the main blackhair girl in kakegurui, which is some summer anime series. youtube.com/watch?v=lJKaDWz_Cds
Logan Cooper
They already ruined her voice with Fukumenkei Noise
Juan Sullivan
Any headphones that make music fun to listen to?
I have the ATH-M50s and the Beats By Dre Pros. Both do what they're supposed to do I think (M50s flat and clear, Pros bassy) but I want something in-between. Doesn't have to be bluetooth enabled or anything.
Budget isn't an issue too much as long as it's under $400. Whatever headphone is recommended I will likely buy used anyways.
I love her and Noto Mamiko for their soft voices but they can voice some pretty average characters.
Luke Kelly
I'm no weeabo and the 600 is the best headphone I have ever tried by far.
Jason Harris
>that dac+amp combo
I have the exact same. It's fucking amazing isn't it? The only reason I would ever change mine is if they released a magni 3 which had the same dac inside it.
Grayson Peterson
why wouldn't you just grab a jontunheim
Evan Evans
Because the Jotunheim sucks
Connor Ross
I doubt they'll ever change the stack from its stack form factor, with the separate but not really dac and amp. It's iconic. youtube.com/watch?v=q2xEpDwJKYQ
Colton Turner
It's quite nice, yes. There are some shortcomings like lack of SPDIF and coax or susceptibility to EMI interference, but by and large it's more than adequate for my purposes.
Austin Jenkins
it's better than the magni and the dac add-in card is the same as the fulla 2 dac
Luis King
In the case of the DAC X6 with 10 Ohm output impedence, Sub-80 Ohm or Sub-100 Ohm. Used TH-X00
Robert Miller
Because it's massive, literally costs twice as much as both of them combined, and it doesn't even have an output like the fulla 2 does.
Why the fuck would I want one?
Carson Nelson
Sure doesn't sound like $500
Luke James
>and it doesn't even have an output like the fulla 2 does ??
Carson Barnes
I forgot the term, but I mean the left jack on pic related. I can hook up my fulla 2 to other hings like game consoles etc. Even if the jotunheim can do that. It still costs twice as much as my set up, and it's stupidly huge. I'd also question if it sounds better with my headphones (600's) but I don't actually know, or care, based on the things I just stated.
Tyler Brooks
>pic related
Isaac Phillips
?
Bentley Scott
All he'd need is a TRS to RCA cable.
Samuel Anderson
Jot not full meme compliant yet >balanced >yet no multibit dac card option
Jaxson Perry
you can't fit that on the dac card or anything smaller than the modi
Zachary Mitchell
Sony MDR-7506 should arrive on Tuesday. Hyped af.
SuperLux HD 668B on my PC. Sony MDR-7506 on my OnePlus 5.
Adrian Bell
>Sony MDR-7506 on my OnePlus 5. Should run llsif, deresute and mirishita decently. Just saying.
Gabriel Taylor
>Budget £450($600) >Source >Type of headphone Over ear >Open or closed >Source Fiio E07k Closed >Comfort level Not really important. >Sound signature Warmish
Is the DT1770s any good, or are there better alternatives for that price point?
I grabbed DAC x6 for 51 usd, free shipping and anything.
Daniel Flores
Anyone tried the Bowers Wilkins P9?
Adam Jones
I looked into the Fulla 2, but buying direct from Schiit is 99+16.20+Brokerage fee(Schiit says $6.50-10, we'll assume 6.50) and possibly customs. So 121.70USD and any customs, which translates into $153 CAD. Suddenly it's not quite as affordable. I dunno, maybe it's worth $150 but it's a kinda demoralizing number.
Any difference between the white and black model? Can't really understand why one is more expensive than the other
Brayden King
Probably just retarded Amazon sellers. The one experience I had way back when was I went to a hi-fi shop in Toronto to buy a pair of ATH-M50s (don't judge me, I was a pleb and they were THE recommendation back then) and the white ones were $10 more than the black. I asked the dude if there was any difference and he said "It's the Apple tax, people will pay $10 more for white headphones"
Asher Clark
red or black? I'm waiting for the HD6XX but I'm tempted for these as well. Is there a point? I heard the pads were heaven.
HD600 is not an option because lol canada
red looks nice.
Samuel Mitchell
Yeah it's a pretty good razor, works great with the nivea gel I have at home
John Howard
change the pads asap to bigger ones. Mine has been collecting dust for awhile because the stock pads suck ass (they're almost like on-ears pads)
i haven't gotten to doing that myself because eh they're just my beater cans when I need to take something to the library or something.
Jordan Murphy
which pads do you recommend?
Jordan Morgan
Shure SRH1540, Oppo PM-3
Don't. You'd be far better off putting that $200 towards something else.
I think this was the one I was recommended before. Can't seem to find a non-retarded price on amazon anymore so that's a pity.
dunno if anyone has a better recommendation. I remember this was recommended to me when the ATH-M40X and M50X were also recommended here so eh times may have changed. I haven't actually gotten to replacing mine yet since the stock ones are still clean (since I barely use it), but it's definitely what I'll use to replace it.
Lucas Thompson
Preference. Red look good because of the center circle. Otherwise the black look better with the non colored bars.
Joshua Jenkins
>AKG Treble rape >Audio Technica Mud >Beyerdynamic Treble rape >Sennheiser Mud When will we get a company that makes nice, balanced headphones?
Jack Peterson
Would the Extra Deep pads be a good choice? How would it affect the sound?
Eli Ross
DT250.
Logan Campbell
>Shure SRH1540, Oppo PM-3 not him but I'm also interested in closed headphones at this price range.
Is it easy to replace the earpads on the Shure one? I'm reading about the Oppo PM3 right now and apparently Oppo prefers customers to send over the headphones if they need the earpads replaced? Weird lock mechanism for the Oppo.
it looks bigger than the Oppo (good thing), is it bigger?
Jeremiah Davis
>DT250
Nigel Farage approves.
Matthew Barnes
>DT250 Beyerdynamic, so treble rape beyersremorse.
Christian Edwards
You find a capably balanced driver and mod/make your own headphone around that.
Eli Young
it would probably be more comfortable but I don't know how the sound would be affected. I was looking specifically at the genuine sheepskin one. They're both well-reviewed
Adam Bell
Thanks, mate. Gonna get the Extra Deep pads as soon as possible. They look beautiful on the MDR-7606s.
Isaiah Reyes
TOPKEK
David Stewart
That's a very good and much more neutral alternative you presented.
Joshua Clark
>Is it easy to replace the earpads on the Shure one? Should be simple enough
>Oppo prefers customers to send over the headphones if they need the earpads replaced? Weird lock mechanism for the Oppo. Is that so? Weird. You may still be able to change them yourself.
>it looks bigger than the Oppo (good thing), is it bigger? What looks bigger? The pads?
Joshua Jackson
You can see him pull off one of the pads if you watch the video on here:
yes the pads. I'm looking at reviews for the Oppo and the negatives i'm seeing is that it's too small for them.
so far I'm reading (and watching) the reviews for the Shure. Dunno what to make of the Z review calling it "boring" though, sounds retarded.
Jaxon Clark
>THAT NIGGER BASS
Nolan Gonzalez
Why are my headphones so sharp
Brody Diaz
DT250 are not treble rapey. DT770/880/990 are.
Angel Ramirez
Hey Sup Forums. I've got m40x's, which are closed back, and came with leather pads, that hold the audio inside quite well. Will i lose sound quality/volume from switching the pads which leak a lot of sound?
Pic related, its what the new pads look like.
Michael Green
>DT250 are not treble rapey nice try beyer shill
Thomas Edwards
>literally no treble
David Davis
That's half the magnitude of the DT770/880/990 peak. Not rapey. This is rapey.
Nolan Martin
Sony MDR-7506.
What are the pros and cons?
Adam Flores
Pro: cheap Con: Bright as shit
Elijah Roberts
Pros: >great price/performance ration >built as a tank >industry standard >mostly neutral Cons: >treble can be fatigating >pads need to be replaced
David Ross
Focal ;)
Isaac Price
I have always like to try a pair of these. They're just so cool looking for some reason and clearly decent sounding.
