Entrance Exam to University

Please describe the Entrance Exam to University in your country ( In Vietnam due to reforming so it's stable as the Pacific Ocean in July to November right now).

There is none

There is none. You take a final exam in your final year of school, and if you pass that, you can (technically) study at any public university in Germany. Some university subjects have too many applicants though, so they select based on your grade in that exam.

We are given many tests throughout highschool. The tests get progressively harder the later into highschool you get. You basically need to get all A's in practically all the tests if you wanna get into uni.
I'm in Scotland btw.

>You basically need to get all A's in practically all the tests if you wanna get into uni.
Well that's a fucking lie.

Nope. A completely new system was brought in a couple years back. And yes, fair enough you don't necessarily need all A's but if you actually fancy getting a job after leaving uni you might aswell not go if you don't have the grades to get yourself in a half decent course.

You can easily get onto a decent course with Bs depending on the subject.

The final exam in Highschool gives you a score that contributes to 50% of your overall mark for the final year, and is standard across the entire state. The other 50% comes from assessments conducted by each school during the year. Together they form an ATAR, a normalised score that reflects the % of your cohort that you did better than.

A 91 ATAR mark reflects that you're better than 91% of all other students who took the test.

Universities use that score to determine entry. People over the age of 25 can do an admission test performed by each university.

We first take a pre-exam exam at the end of highschool (9-12 grades) which has the topics taught during 9th,10th and early 11th grades, than you take the actual exam for uni, which has topics of late 10th grade,11th grade and 12th grade.

Homever, if you wanna go to an art uni like i did, you just need to do the first exam and get enough of a score that means you are not a walking idiot, and then you have to seperately go to each uni's own talent exams.
The uni's all schedule their own exam dates, so some of them coincide with eachother and you have to pick one.
Each uni does it slightly differently, but state uni's all make you go through 2 seperate days of drawing exams, first day basics, second day specific question about the degree you wish to get.And then on the 3rd day, you have to present a portfolio and talk with the teachers, basically selling yourself that you are cultured and smart enough to go into uni.

Fucking hard
But I enjoyed because I like studying

In the capitalist US, private companies sell tests. For $80, you take the test and the company gives you a number that colleges can see. If your score is bad, you can spend $80 more and take it again.

Unfortunately, it's not universal. Some colleges want a DIFFERENT test that also costs $80.

Applying to each college also costs $50-100.

There is none

In Britain, isn't anything over 70% an A?

University don't have one only Grandes Ecoles.

In France University is for the pleb, the elite student go to Grande École

You take matura which is national test conducted after high school. You are required to pass basic literature and language, math, and one language at basic level. Of course good universities won't take you with just passing grade and for you to stand a decent chance at acquiring a seat there, you need to take additional subjects. Like for example if you want to do STEM you will want to score high on advanced math/physics/IT/biology/chemistry. There are tons of complementary subjects you can choose from.

Why is she so perfect bros
How can you frenchies lose your country when cuties like this live in it

As far as I know, some schools let you take a test for free, but only once which is not recommended because it will probably not be your best score.

they will fuck you up for life, 10k good engineering seats, 1.4 million applicants, if you fail, you are fucked for life.

The United States doesn't care much about your ACT/SAT score. If you earn a mediocre or average test score but also have many extracurriculars, a high GPA, and several letters of recommendation, you'll go to a good state school. If you're black or Latino on top of that, you're going to get accepted to a prestigious school

Fail means suicide
