All of these are half truths especially here in Australia. While they do integrate better than say Pacific Asians, they still bring more bad than good.

Most of them work at extremely dodgy companies that run by other Indians and never leave them out of fear of the outside world where you actually compete with people for a job and get paid/compensated accordingly.

They still are incredibly oriented towards socialising with other Indians rather than anyone else. I don't think I've ever met a single person from the Indian subcontinent that didn't have majority of friends from his country.

Third, they never ever work on their English. My understanding is that they know it as a second language from the start and feel that no matter how actually horrible it might be they don't need to improve it anyhow. Especially their horrendous god damned accents. Sure, there is noting inherently bad about having an accent and as long as you speak naturally and reasonably comprehensibly it's all good. But we all know that it applies to a quite low percentage of Indian diasporas in English-speaking countries.

Finally, from what I personally saw, their children still tend to be rather Indian than say Australian. As opposed to children of Asians who usually are seamlessly assimilated into the society and more often than not the only thing that can help you to distinguish between an Australian kid and an Australian born Filipino kid is how they look. And that would be literally it.
