antennæ, you illiterate animal

>The very latest 802.11ac have a new feature called beam forming that is suppose to created a direction signal by modifying the interference pattern between antenna to increase the range.....not much information on if this really works in the real world yet since it is very new.

>You can use multiple direction antenna and the router will attempt to use them to talk to different users.

Neato

It's never enough user, never enough.

I bought a Nighthawk that has bunch of antennas and I believe it also has the ability to Route traffic is specific way I know for a fact it also allows me to limit the bandwidth usage of certain users who decide that they need to stream in 1080P constantly instead of 720p like I inform them they should do. The best part though is easily the fact that the antennas reached out my entire house and my house is very large it's a rural area and good 50 60 ft between each room.

have this exact router, bought it for $71 when an office depot near was recently closing down

As many as you can fit

We need more antennas. To fit more on we should use a smaller wavelength. We could move to millimeter wave and put hundreds of antennas on our routers. We can move up to the terahertz range. Now we can barely see our antennas. Next we move to light frequencies. Now we can't see our antennas and our routers fucking glow all the time. Now instead of beamforming our router projects fucking holograms to bounce light around corners. We move into the UV range. Now our router can give us a tan. At this point our router has hundreds of billions pf antennas. As we get deeper into the UV range and approach X-rays we start making antennas that shouldn't even be possible. Weird plasma physics offers us some hope for a while, but we start developing new forms of matter. Our routers now use their X-ray beams to analyze the molecular composition of what they are pointed at, to determine if it's alive and should not be irradiated.

We use huge machines that harness 10% of the sun's total output to boil the vacuum itself to make matter that should not exist: magnetic monopoles. Our routers now operate in the gamma ray range and have uncountable antennas

We approach the end of the rainbow. Our antennas are made of the fabric of the universe. Incredible amounts of energy are required to make a single photon. These incredible amounts of energy bend the very laws of nature. Every transmission is like it's own big bang.

And that's when we get a message:"thanks for playing!"

OMG that router is sooo cool, looks like a seele conference call

whos that Jewess?

One or two is very likely enough for your wireless access point, you probably just need one. And I'm not even kidding.

802.11ac can use up to four antennas for those incredible speeds they market. Your phone will have one. Your laptop will probably have one, two if you're lucky. You don't need a router with 1024-QAM either. That's a proprietary Broadcom standard none of the things you connect will support.

If you want to build a wireless bridge between two places because you can't simply use a cable or powerline for some reason then a router with a ton of antennas like that makes sense.

...

this is my mikrotik hub on awmn
beat that

Why is it that the best enterprise WAPs have internal antennae and the shitty consumer garbage is always bristling with these things. Then they break off when you even look at them funny and you have to buy a new router. Actually that's probably why
This has been around for years

>2017
> not knowing about beam forming

Clearly Slavic

>flip router
>it runs under the couch

am scared

...

At least it doesn't fly away.

I bet you guys can't post a decent router under 100$.

I wish they made a neutered model of this router that didn't cost so much.
I don't need the xtreem gaymen purrformens but I love how silly the thing looks.

Elon Musk was right!
Why did people listen to Zuck!?
It's over! The apocalypse is now!
