So ZFS won?

Old news, dumb frogposter.

i still use the good old ext4 so i dont care but how its dead when RHEL/CentOS drop it, its not the only distro on the world

Suse still support it.

Who uses RedLennart Linux anyway? The fuckers gave us the retarded interface naming because eth0 was deemed racist.

btrfs has been deprecated in RHEL but SUSE still uses it and is actively developing it.

Oracle aswell. In this case patching up the remaining flaws of the "RAID5" mode.

I'm using it my linux. Should I consider to go back to ext4?
It's kinda a pain in the to format my drive, but it's my main pc so I guess I will do it if it's worth it in a long run.

On HN someone said this is because Oracle took CentOS and made it into their own product, so Redhat discontinued btrfs in order to hurt them. Anyone know the story?

Xfs for single drives or mdadm configuration. ZFS for archival.

>XFS
Enjoy your partition disappearance after a hard reset.
Stick with ext4. That shit is borderline dark magic when it comes to performance and reliability. You don't need and you don't want XFS on home systems.

>eth0 racist
Wat..?

More like BTFOFS :^)

WTF? How is eth0 racist?

I thought that xfs is dangerous if you ever hard reset like for example a power outage without ups?

Let me remind you, btrfs scrub of death it real, I lost some data because of it. Non raid. Single drive.

DO NOT USE BTRFS EXCEPT FOR TESTING IT.

DO NOT USE IT WITH ANY VALUABLE DATA.

bcachefs will be the fs of the future.

No. This is typical Red Hat doing business and try to hinder their competitors offerings, as they've always done.

>Enjoy your partition disappearance after a hard reset.
Nice meme.

Wait wut?

>using Red hat products
>using systemd

Fuck, Skelly is getting thicc

No it's not. Only Red hat backports are. It's still developed by Suse

and?

It's fake.

I use btrfs with void and nothing has ever gone wrong

All the fearmongering around btrfs is a spook

I switch off my computer by cutting off power. Ext4 works fine for me.

>HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I don't understand.
Why is this funny? It's not like anybody even used it.

>All the fearmongering around btrfs is a spook
Except it isn't, and there has been many a mailing list to have a chuckle at.

Sauce??
