Animated GIFs are an anomaly. They were okay when they were just blinking "UNDER CONSTRUCTION!" images, but it all went to shit when people started converting video clips into horrible 256-color bloated GIFs.
I think Sup Forums should allow sound webms on all boards, tho. The limited filesize should keep things manageable.
The main reason is that say if you were at work and were browsing a worksafe image board using speakers, A webm may look innocent enough but it is able to play some nsfw audio whilst at work.
