It's 100x worse than 60hz CRT flickering

isnt that just your camera's shutter speed out of sync with your refresh rate?

pwm is real but Sup Forums wouldn't care

op's still a fag tho

>op's still a fag tho
I bet you bought a meme 4k monitor and it has 300hz flickering that is destroying your eyesight

Literally no $400 monitor would have pwm.

:^)

yes they do

>I spent $700 on a monitor.
>Haha-Nelson.jpg

Joke's on you. I spent $150 on a monitor.

1440p is a bastard. 2160p or bust.

>no AMD ULMB
>not even just a black frame insertion

The iiyama prolite xb2483hsu does not have this problem.

>>Haha-Nelson.jpg
it's by far the best investment I ever made. it's an absolute joy to use.
faster cpu/gpu upgrade doesn't even come close to a monitor upgrade.
stay poor, stay pleb, stay pajeet.

LG monitor = no flicker
ASUS screen (notebook) = flicker

>b-but Asus is top notch quality! xD THEY ARE REPUBLIC OF GAMERS!!!

...

i have a spyder.

>1440p is a bastard
depends on the size

scale ppi 4K FHD 1440p
-----------------------------------
1x 96 45.8" 22.9" 30.5"
1.25x 120 36.7" 18" 24.4"
1.5x 144 30.5" 15.2" 20.3"
1.75x 168 26.2" 13.1" 17.4"
1.875x 180 24.4" 12.2" 16.3"
2x 192 22.9" 11.4" 15.2"

almost all monitors use pwm
price is NOT a guarantee
>sauce:

>almost all monitors use pwm
source?

1440p is literally between and is on the short end as far as PPI. Hence me calling it a bastard. Unless it really means that much, waiting for 2160p is what I plan to do.

Also, on the note of that image I have a 27" 1080p monitor coming which I'm pretty sure will look like shit and end up being returned. I really need a source of income to buy nicer things.

but muh hurts

WTF who makes that and who is this for ?

>1440p is literally between and is on the short end as far as PPI. Hence me calling it a bastard. Unless it really means that much, waiting for 2160p is what I plan to do.
not if it's 30" or even 27" (27 would not be my choise but can still work)

the only sane hi-ppi is either 23"4K or 15"1440p anything else is a cry for trouble

Yes, but movies are being remastered in 2160p, not 1440p. 1440p and 1880p are just stand-off bastard resolutions with little actual support.

They're stopgaps because the tech is lagging behind.

Well, let me correct myself. The tech isn't lagging behind. It's phased obsolescence. They want to milk every pixel.

internet

But I didn't buy gaymur shit.

this is Sup Forums if you're not running at least 400dpi muh fonts luk bad

>comments are disabled for this video

Sup Forums is the opposite actually, everyone here whines about muh scaling and muh screen size and needs to have exactly 110dpi at 31 inches despite visible pixelation at those specs. It's why you see spergs with 40' 2160p monitors, which complete negate any benefit of 4k.

>They're stopgaps because the tech is lagging behind.
Monitors need to be slightly bigger than the standard resolution of the time to make editing content at that resolution easier. 1440p/1600p is for editing 1080p content, and 5k is for editing 4k content. It's just by chance gamers jumped on 1440p because it's easier to drive than 2160p.

>110dpi
anything above 100ppi is bad from my exp end up zooming in browsers n shit

>I'm rich because I like blowing my money on useless shit to fill the void in my pathetic life
>Lol ebin stay poor pajeet xD. Add me to the /r/Sup Forums screenshot
