Brave Browser

Is it really as good as they say? I hate firefox and #googlegate is crazy.

Yes. And it's not SJW garbage like Chrome and Fireshit.

>#googlegate
For fuck's sake why are people so unimaginative?

It's an Electron app, so it's inherently shit man. Goto oldapps.com and install an older Opera and you're good to go.

How is it on memory?

>OS: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS i686
>no 32 bit version for linux
Fuck off, I'm feeling comfy with my chromium.

>Diverse Botnet*
there, fixed it

It's only good on android. Use firefox nightly instead.

It's great on Android. Blocks most ads without the need to root.

DNS66 blocks all ads without root

medicore on pc, really good on android

This is the best answer so far

>using a browser written in JavaScript

IceCatMobile is better.

are any of the other gecko variants worth a damn? like conkeror for instance

>#searchenginescandal

Does that work better for you?

>Using a browser specifically designed to show you advertising
No, thanks.

>Using a browser specifically designed to show you advertising
>No ads while using brave

?????????

Reminder to hide and report all shill Brave threads

It's literally adware. It replaces genuine ads on the internet with (((acceptable))) ads, and steals the revenue

No ads on my end. It's opt in.

It replaces it with shit like "if you like this site, donate by clicking here"

>literally pro-ad in the mission statement
Yeah, nah, you're a cunt and you can stop shilling your adware anytime.

samefag

It gives you the option to replace ads. By default they are blocked.
>steals the revenue
If you choose to replace ads, it sends you the revenue in the form of cryptocurrency. It then gives you the option to send some of the revenue to the ad owners.

For you to read that and screenshot it, but not understand it, you have to be retarded or a shill.

yes its good but its young, so you may find a bug or a feature you are missing from chrome. but it will soon overtake firefox as the next big browser and i hope with enough google hate we can make it a serious competitor to chrome.

Reminder that all anti-Brave shills are Google employees mad that Brave's is trying to break Google's business model of making us the product for advertisers.

oh boy, its today's give-me-moneez-plox by Brenden Eich, the half-jew leech

Holy shit did you and that meme just come straight from reddit?

>forcing other people to recognize my larp
>regulating people's social lives > regulating people's social lives
oh
kay

>using outdated software
>just a meme guys :ddd

Just got it, desktop version is pretty sweet, would recommend. Mobile is broken as fuck, would not recommend.
No one who wants a stable browser uses a nightly, no matter the browser
It's open source so you could compile your own
turn them off you fucking dumbasses

don't hate the player hate the game :^)

Yeah the desktop version is awesome. Don't know about mobile.

>devs support trump
It's a fucking reddit browser for reddit browsers

(((0)))

>reddit is this triggered by based brendan eich
even more reason to support brave

Exactly.

Dev is the guy who ran Firefox back when it was good.

Its chromium, give or take

He was also forced to resign because of his political leanings. Very similar to GoogleGate actually.

Their ad model literally gives you (the user) money for seeing their ads

Every day a Sup Forums - Sup Forums alliance seems more likely

You'd be surprised. I see better technology discussion on Sup Forums than on Sup Forums some times, of course the caveat being the threads are much less frequent there

I have been pleasantly surprised to see the tech threads on Sup Forums the past month or so. It's still Sup Forums but they do have some good discussion and at least it's better than the endless shilling

fammo hlp, i have about a million passwords saved in passwords.google.com how do i migrate them to a non-cloud solution that integrates with brabe

And this is a bad thing?

For redditors, subscribe to /r/MozillaInAction for GoogleGate discussion.

Don't use a pw manager so I'm not sure, but Brave works with 1Password, bitwarden, Dashlane, and LastPass. If you could migrate your Google stuff to one of these, you could have it work with Brave.
For non-cloud solutions, again I don't use a manager so no clue.

I...I need an edit like this for Dr. Crusher.

DON'T QUESTION ME ON THIS, GOD DAMN YOU.

A majority of reddit doesn't even support Trump, most of it is propaganda though. Where do you obnoxious shills get your twisted facts from? Why do you even post? Just go away.

digits acknowledged
how the living fuck do you do it then, like do you make up a password based on the url of a site or something

I meant as a good thing
plus I didn't want to get swarmed with Sup Forums hate
The alliance has been years coming if you ask me, ever since the Gamergate people branched out from vidya to tech in general

I just remember a few good passwords and their variants. Most sites have a password reset in case I get stuck.

About half the country supports Trump
don't go out much?

thanks for the laugh, have a (you)

Desktop: Vivaldi
Mobile: Brave

Brave mobile (at least on iPhone) is absolute crap, pages won't even load. It's a shame, considering how great the desktop is.

>at least on iPhone
There's your problem. Apple only allows using Apple software.

>there are no third-party apps on iPhone
wut

God that logo is gay.
I don't want to watch the lion king motherfucker I want to browse the web.

Third party software is gimped on iOS.

Well yeah but other apps at least work. Brave on mobile is completely broken.

I installed that the other day after reading about it on here. You have to do some weird shit just to get an add on you want and it comes with it's own compulsory add ons.
Wasn't fun.

I disagree, it works great on Android.

>saving passwords with cookies

wtf
