No.
I mean Finnish has plenty of common words loaned from Swedish but the grammar is completely different.
From what I've heard Finnish sounds more like Italian or/and Japanese.
its a finnougric language
much smaller tree than the barbaric cumguzzler known as indoeuropean
Root language of Finnish is so called old-Turkish. Old Turkish isn't spoken today anymore because they died out in Turkey or moved north. This happened long ago, 11th century

blaaablaaa finno-ugrig..blaaa
Finnish sounds like Swedish because like 20% of our words are loaned from them and another 20% is from Russia and another 10% from German.
Only 50% if even that is probably from the Finno-Ugric shamans.
Finnish is an Uralic language, therefore drastically different from the Indo-European Swedish and Norwegian
t. Cai-Göran
It's a Uralic language not related to Indo-European since Finns are a recent wave of Eurasian migrants from Siberia.
Proto-Finnic
10,000 years ago isn't what I'd call recent
Those girls look like the archetype of Finnishness
The root language is uralic
Kanty, mansi, permic, mari things like that
What's your point? Finnish, Italian and Japanese has long vowels.
I'm perfectly aware that they're not related in any way.
He was saying that our language sounds "Germanic" because of our Germanic loans which is fucking ridiculous.
ancient sumerian
which is a dialect from alpha centauri, don't know the specifics
How is it ridiculous?
I'f guess that at least 25% of our words are from Swedish and Russian.
