I constantly forget the Swedish words for things and only know how to say it in English. But the worst part is when I sometimes while speaking Sweden translate English expressions literally, which often doesn't equivalent an actual Swedish expression so it's just nonsense.
I think it makes me appear as a moron.

My Russian friend from high school spoke Russian at home, but thought and spoke to everyone else in English. Outside of his home, the only time he thought in Russian was when he did math

It's not like that for me anymore and I don't really know what happened. I used to think in no language at all, and back then I was quick as fuck to come with anything I needed (a joke for example), and this quick wit made people want to be with me and like me. Now I think either in portuguese or english and I feel my mind is dull and lethargic. What the hell is my problem and what happened to me? I feel like it should be the other way around and this confuses me.

Are you a nazi in your dreams or what?

I know the feeling. When I'm alert and concentrating I don't think in words and stuff I want to say just comes to me while I'm talking to someone. When I'm tired or somehow out of it I have to make things more explicit in my head and my vocabulary shrinks in conversation. It's probably normal but I don't know why it would totally stop. Are you depressed, Brazilanon? Have you huehue'd recently?

I've been depressed for several years now. I was good at making conversation about everything and entertaining people with witty comments and things like that, and that was basically the only thing I was good for. I was not a genius or brilliant or anything but I learned stuff very fast and the right words just came out when I needed them, it was natural. I don't know what happened but I started to feel I wasn't "up to it" anymore and then I started distancing myself from people by my own volition. My mind was racing all the time, then, it was like someone changing channels on tv very fast and I think it just imploded or it's expiration date came up, if you know what I mean.

It's almost certainly your psychological state then. Not exactly uncommon on our corner of the internet so you're not alone there. I had several severe bouts of depression during college and before I got my first job and I felt like my brain was broken.

I don't know if I can ever feel like myself again. I keep waiting for some kind of trigger to just magically cure me, but I know it will never happen. And to make things worse I have cases of schizophrenia in my family and I think I have a very high chance of developing it.

Mostly Finnish to all, but quite often I do have my "inner dialogue" or whatever it is in English. Having noticed that, I now try to have that sometimes in Swedish and German as well.

When I went to Australia, after a while I realised, that I thought in English. Which of course made me a lot dumber, since my vocabulary in English is a lot more limited than in Finnish.

Otherwise you'll be fine. It sounds like typical depression, maybe genetic (my mother's side of the family has this), but exacerbated by your current life situation. I don't know your life and your circumstances though.
