The flat I lived in was 90m2, had A/C, two balconies and 100mbit internet so I really couldn't complain.
However there are a lot of young klošars (don't really know how to translate this, you could say a bum, basically retarded 14-20 year olds that go to trade school and drink all the time) in the large park behind the buildings drinking and they sometimes burn couches, sofas, even shops.
It's not dangerous, though.

I grew up in and surrounded by ghettos.
I fancy it the worst decision my mother ever made, she moved in in 2000 in Vitry sur seine with no idea of what ghettos were and always forbade the use of violence until i got home covered in bruises and punches. Never really fit in the 'community' which consisted of niggers and every immigrant group France could hold. I recall having to fake foreign origins not to get beaten up (didn't help me getting out of frequent fights tho).
The district i lived in was ridden with drugs and murders, ive witnessed a march against violence on womens after a band of niggers threw a girl in a trashcan and set it on fire 'cause she didn't want to date either of them. Not to help the situation, gypos set a camp nearby, you can imagine how it went.
I only managed to flee that shithole when i had the opportunity to move to beijing and now im in Lille, ironically chinks have been buying up and destroying those ghettos to build new one filled with them , forcing the niggers down to Choisy le roi and miraculously, the crime rate went down.
TL;DR i lived in a ghettos and it sucked hard.

My neighborhood used to be okay, but now it is a complete shithole.
A huge public high school opened and they took kids that were expelled from other schools to fill it up. It brought in all kinds of terrible families to the city.
Homeless people set up camps near my house and look through my trash. Then high schoolers will come and burn them down.
It's dangerous to go outside at night due to tweakers and street gangs.
I hear gunshots almost everyday so I guess the meme is true. I've seen multiple shootouts, but I've never seen anyone actually get shot though.
