I'd probably get into the mining business, or maybe the road train

To become rich

outlaw

Fuck da police nigga

>tfw roaming round the wastes rustling cows, raping bitches in their homesteads, scalping injuns, and spending all my stolen cash on hootch

>implying that the blurring of the lines between the two isn't at the centre of the Wild West mythos

Lawman, nothing like being the authority of a tiny sleepy town and hunting down outlaw scum across the grand wilderness.

That is the exact opposite way of getting rich

You'd get shot by a cowboy for sounding queer

Anti-lawman loose canon that give no damns and takes no prisoners

My sheriff.

So a native?

Go north so I can join the NWMP and ride down Fenians and Metis in the name of her Majesty.

Do they get to be the bad lawman and collect scalps?

I'd probably be eaten by an alligator. The majority of Florida is fill. In 1860 it was swamp.

herro i am heel for make lairload

>Collecting scalps
>Not mutilating the body in the name of Tonka
Filthy uneducated bongs...

i dont want to be an american at all.

Knowing Germans I wouldn't be surprised if you tried to join a tribe and be the eternal manservant to warriors

Yes, but what if you were a German who lived in the American West?

I'll mutilate your body and put it in jail, wise-guy

plenty of your countrymen did during the 1800s as you know

A french prostitute

Just a simple vaquero trying to get the job done and return to the civilized side of the border

Hello doctor Schultz

I'd be an equipment importer and get rich off of folks like these Buy shovels for 50 cents apiece in Boston, sell for $10 apiece in gold country

I WOULD BECOME A FARMER/COMMUNE LEADER; WE WOULD CULTIVATE WHEAT, AND APPLES, BESIDE MAKING, AND SELLING, OUR OWN BREAD; WHETHER I BECOME AN OUTLAW, OR NOT, WOULD BE MERE INCIDENCE.

A desperado, of course

I wanna fuck Billy the Kid's boipucci

priest should also be an option

Die of dysentery

I'd be a famer. Much of my family were farmers in Alberta from the 1800s onwards. I think I could be a farmer too

>ywn ride with judge holden and scalp niggers and indians

That would be my dream, living in the wild west. Having my own homestead my wife taking care of our nine children. I would have horses and sheep and have a large log cabin house. That would be very comfy desu.

be an oil baron

outlaw
im from wyoming

I'd be the town drunk who they eventually find dead in a horse trough

lawman

> be outlaw
> get shot

is the wild west well known around the world? i thought it was just an american thing

Spaghetti westerns

yes

>i thought it was just an american thing

Are you fucking serious dude? Like, how much of a fucking hugbox do you live in to think this?

Yes, because of what said.

Tough pretty sure all settler states have some sort of equivalent history surrounding frontier towns.

Now, this is a man who knows his stuff...

Personally I like musician as an option

youtube.com/watch?v=2B2gKcLkygI

but why is it popular outside the us

Lawman. Smelly dumb Cattle rustler scum and injuns need keeping in check.

id be a real estate guy scamming dirt farming idiot families out of their land to take the oil/minerals/build a railroad thru it and oppress the injuns
thats how it was meant to be

snake oil salesmen pls go

ill give you 5 dollars an acre for this hellhole you call a home.....
youre not gonna find a better deal than this...
think of your family...

It was basically the exact same culture we had in the North of our country? The other countries I don't know maybe Canada had some kind of cowboys watching reindeer...

basically has to do with hollywood
americans had a huge interest in cowboys, so holllywood made a ton of westerns

it basically became a whole other genre
like you had movies about love, movies about war, and then a giant selection of movies about a ~30 year period in a specific geographical location

why though? and why hasn't it happened for other specific time periods and geolocations?

Some guy named Karl May wrote some novels about some Indian dude named Winnetou and everyone was like DUDE INJUNS LMAO. More or less.

uh
because hollywood itself is in the west
so the stories are from that area itself, the history is all around them, the people who moved to that area wrote books (fictional and true) about their interesting experiences, which were easy to adapt because you had the perfect backdrop

We had something similar but not really. Our Mexican bandidos were more like the F*nian irish scum. The crown crushed our injuns for us so we didn't really have the hardcore scalping kind like the Americans did too.

...

Lawman, because then I could kill NEET bandits and get medals n' shit.

Set in the Wild West of course.

australia had some badass westerns too

Yeah m8 we sure did, but they're not on the level of Murica desu.

outlow. Because I'm a bad boi.

The proposition was based af

Oh fuck yes

>sell for $10
Enjoy having a bunch of shovels.

Lucky Luke comic was/is a big thing.
>mfw all those racial stereotypes
French/Belgian comics are so based

>Historian Frederick Jackson Turner in his "Frontier Thesis" (1893) theorized that the frontier was a process that transformed Europeans into a new people, the Americans, whose values focused on equality, democracy, and optimism, as well as individualism, self-reliance, and even violence. Thus, Turner's Frontier Thesis proclaimed the westward frontier as the defining process of American history.

What do we think lads?

It has happened, Victorian England is one if you've ever watched an Ivory Merchant film, WWII, Vietnam, historic epics (Rome, Greece, Egypt) Biblical movies, the Middle Ages, even fucking pirates... My own country has it's own genre parallel to Western (ranchero) and obviously some more which are specific to us just like every country in the world has...

I live in the suburbs though, not the frontier.

I would obey the law of course. Criminals had a short life back then.

Then he would die of being an awfully written character

It wasn't Tarantino's best work, but I think he owed the guy a good german part after Inglorious Bastards in which he pretty much plays the one well written character.

>It wasn't Tarantino's best work

That's not Pulp fiction

Tarantino is consistently good at writing dialogue but as a director he can be inconsistent. Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill are god tier so considering that's a good half of his work it isn't a bad record, the rest are all worth watching even if not exactly good films. Here's one of his best dialogues in a movie he did not direct.
