What would happen if a Western tourist like me went to Minsk? I want to visit all countries in Europe and Belarus is one of the last left. I met a rich Russian guy in Finland who often went to Minsk and told me it would be very hard for someone who doesn't speak Russian to travel there successfully.
B
When will you stop this "independent country" meme and just rejoin your Russian neighbours?
E
why should your opinion on any given subject matter in the first place? are you a person of some importance, a trained specialist perhaps? specify your area of expertise, I'm not interested in shallow judgements of a random person who happened to be born in this or that country
L
BIG
It will be very hard for someone who doesn't speak Russian to travel there successfully.
B
What are the typical belarusian dish?
Potato with potato sauce.
Draniki. (Hashbrown).
Nope, you will find lots of English-speaking people in the downtown of Minsk. Just pick young ppl 20-30 years old, especially hipsters.
No way. Why would we, in your opinion?
This is int, so deal with it. If you don't like my expertise, go eat your cabanos somewhere else.
DRANIKI (potato pancakes)
you haven't specified your area of expertise at all
why would your opinion mean anything? I repeat my question - are you someone important?
ok thanks m8, will work on it
fuck off butthurt pole
butthurt, eh? because I insist on clarifying what information is this Belarussian capable of giving?
Is belarus even real?
meme country should be given back to Poland
Yes, I'm VERY important. I'm the future king of Poland. So heed me as if you're an obedient peasant.
Pretty much real, though both Russkies and Polacks think otherwise.
sure, any proofs?
Only in your wet dream.
What's your opinion on Russian reunification, and what's the general opinion in Belarus? Also, what makes Belorussian culture different to Russian culture?
Real belorusians barely exist. Modern belorusians are mostly just regular russians.
Hence why I'm interested what makes them different enough to be a separate state.
under russian rule means u will be poor and have aids
under polish rule means u will be butthurt for your whole life
Belarussians want to be poor and alone i guess
I'm as against it as it is possible to be. General opinion here after Donbass would be like 35% for it, 65% against, I guess.
The culture of Belarus is pretty much typical to Eastern European Slavs, it is not as touched by Asian influence, as Russian culture.
Yeah, they might look like regular Russians, but very few among them really consider themselves TO BE Russians. Belarusians are here to stay now. 25 years of independence did what they were supposed to do.
>what makes them different enough to be a separate state
Nothing, it's just happened what Y*ltsin wanted to be an independent president, not under USSR rule
Ha бeлopyccкoм гoвopишь?
You can call you even ayyylmao but you are still russian.
1. Reunification. Official opinion -- "Ukraine is an independent country and Crimea is its legal part".
2. Culture. Its a difficult question. TV in Belarus is almost russian, language is russian everywhere. Belorussian language becomes exotic.
So, basically, what you're saying is that the nation does not decide who and what are they, it is Russians who decide who's Russian now. Kek, it's all you need to know about modern Russkie.
Taк, paзмayляю, aлe бoльш чытaю poзнyю лyхтy.
in fact "belarus" is someone like "cubanoid" or "sibiryak"
you were just lucky enough to get your state from commies
Thanks for the opinions lads. Also, is there anything worth coming to Belarus for as a tourist? I know you said earlier it'd be hard to get around Minsk without Russian but I'm not opposed to learning it.
Now, I say that your actual nationality is determined by cultural field, language etc you live in. You are absolutely identical to russians in any mean. The same language, the same traditions, everything is the same.
Well, once we were a part of the state that burnt your Moscow to the ground three times. Sounds a bit different to me than just sibiryaks.
That will be the official reason for your government to invade us if we ever get to go the Ukrainain way.
> we wuz kings
Please don't fight lads, I just want to learn about meme countries on the other side of Europe.
>tfw you will never see revolutions in both Russia and Belarus and reunification
Lithuanians were that state, not you.
Is it true Yung Lean was born in Belarus, and also why is he so popular with russian speakers?
Why don't you guys come here to work unlike Ukrainians?
Their country is not that shit.
>that imperialistic butthurt
How many people can speak english in Бeлapycь?
Is Belarus stolen Lithuanian land?
its PLC clay and the people were brainwashed by stalin
Is USA a stolen land of Maya and other tribes?
>Maya and other tribes?
That's Mexico. And if you go south, they haven't totally destroyed Maya culture.
The US on the other hand completely eradicated Native cultures and peoples. And it's been pretty successful for them.
Kak zhizn bratishka?
It is part of Rus' that was stolen by Lithuania and then stolen by Moscow. But Moscow at least was another part of Rus' (Vladimir dutchy).
Is it peaceful? Are people friendly and cute?
>USA
>Maya
>Belorussian education
No, that is Mexico, we stole our land from stateless nomads
Brainwashed by Stalin into believing what?
before stalin came all people spoke Polish there now they speak Russian guess what he did
>Maya
>Belarusian education
Kek
He is popular in the West, and only then with Russian teens.
Our average salary is x2 of Ukrainian. If it falls down, expect me to storm Warsaw for jobs, kek
Almost all young people mumble some English. Downtown part of Minsk is crowded with English-literate Uni students. Don't know or care) about other cities.
Skripim potikhoo!
It's peaceful, but only friendly people are young people. Older people seem very sullen.
Why do you lie? "Freedom" is freedom for europeans, not coloured slaves in USA. When we will see a latin president in USA.
How cute are belorussian qts and what do they think about getting some strong latino seed.
Also tell me about belorussian literature
B
I enjoy your triggered butthurt, but your English isn't making sense right now--probably because you are overwhelmed with rage, my Russian-living-on-Lithuanian-land friend.
Do you think I hate USA? No. And you are not friend to me.
Don't know what you're hoping to achieve by saying "Belarus is not a real country". Leave it to Russians, they have been doing it for a long time now.
op
Obviously they are trying to make you butthurt, my belarusian friend
not op
do you speak belarussian?
>2016
>speaking belarusian
not op2
very sad imo
why did belarussian disappear so fast?
same thing happened in ireland, we're irish and speak english with a funny accent but dont speak irish
Cuck :((((
not op
>Don't know what you're hoping to achieve by saying "Belarus is not a real country". Leave it to Russians
Your country is a Russian property. Economically, politically and even culturally. The question is if majority of Belarusian society likes it
>Cuck :((((
Our whole country is one massive cuck(
>why did belarussian disappear so fast?
Years of polonization, after that years of russification, and then we actually got indepedence we have found out that belarusian was obsolete.
>we have found out that belarusian was obsolete.
only because you dont use it
Hey, OP, what do you think about this?
1. How are relations with Lithuania and Poland? I know a bit about the Grand Duchy and Commonwealth, but how has that affected times now (hostile/peaceful)?
2. How true is the statement in pic? Did the Mongol attacks have a lasting effect on modern Russia, Ukraine, or Belarus?
3. Do you think your country's borders have been appropriately laid out? I personally hear very little news of Belarus in general, but are their disputes/tensions with neighboring countries?
For most of the people out here russian is native language. It's hard for them to start speak it out of nowhere.
Basically
>people want to speak belarusian but it's obsolete
>they give up
>language become even more obsolete
Also since basically no one can speak pure belarussian it's better to let it die in peace then to try to bring it up in a twisted form of "trasyanka".
4. Is there some kind of regional divide throughout the country of Belarus (like north-south Italy, north-south Britain, east-west Ukraine, etc.)?
Post YT links to songs of Belarusian popstars that are currently most popular on radio/TV
1. not really good, not bad either
2.they did not
3. borders are okay
there are more catholics in the west part of the country, otherwise no
not op
Because they haven't imploded their country yet, unlike the Ukrainians.
хyли я eгo тoлькo ceйчac зaмeтил ?
>belarus
>havent imploded their country
They just hang anyone that tries to leave.
why hasn't russia annexed ukraine yet and saved them some grace. stupid hohols have the resources to develop themselves but instead jerk off to god knows what.
Belarus is the original Slavic homeland. They emerged as Venedi from the Belarusian swamps and forests.
This girl is one of the best. Literature? Bykov, Korotkevich, Gardey.
