What would happen if a Western tourist like me went to Minsk? I want to visit all countries in Europe and Belarus is one of the last left. I met a rich Russian guy in Finland who often went to Minsk and told me it would be very hard for someone who doesn't speak Russian to travel there successfully.

Real belorusians barely exist. Modern belorusians are mostly just regular russians.

The culture of Belarus is pretty much typical to Eastern European Slavs, it is not as touched by Asian influence, as Russian culture.

2. Culture. Its a difficult question. TV in Belarus is almost russian, language is russian everywhere. Belorussian language becomes exotic.

1. How are relations with Lithuania and Poland? I know a bit about the Grand Duchy and Commonwealth, but how has that affected times now (hostile/peaceful)?

2. How true is the statement in pic? Did the Mongol attacks have a lasting effect on modern Russia, Ukraine, or Belarus?

3. Do you think your country's borders have been appropriately laid out? I personally hear very little news of Belarus in general, but are their disputes/tensions with neighboring countries?

For most of the people out here russian is native language. It's hard for them to start speak it out of nowhere.
