Can someone remind me why these meme countries still exist instead of being territories of their vastly superior neighbours?

Because they have been able to do it on their own.
>wanting maori citizens
Nut get fucked
Because both those land-tumors are cancerous wasteland full of Earth's worst degenerates. It would take Ausfailia and 'Murica trillions of dollars in military spending in order to cleanse those lands.
Canada is a hype-man for USA in international groups, thats why they are invited to G7 etc
New Zealand exists because it wants to, we have freedom of movement and internationally act as a single unit in trade negotiations etc so its not like there would be any difference if we did merge

>"The States " shall mean such of the colonies of New South Wales, New Zealand, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia, including the northern territory of South Australia, as for the time being are parts of the Commonwealth
What's wrong with Canada and Australia?
That's exactly the same question as: "What's wrong with Sweden?"
They literally have no culture or history of their own besides "not american/australian". Even their fucking teams play in our leagues. They might as well stop the contrarianism and bend over.
Actually, no. Sweden is a different country from Canada and Australia.
There's no point having New Zealand part of our country, it would negatively impact both of our economies. It's good they have their own currency, and we can exploit them as cheap labour without giving them access to social benefits/welfare. We have freedom of movement similar to the EU, what else do you want?
Different country same cancer.
And Ukraine only has "not Russian culture," Austria only has "not German culture" and so on. If all these countries are memes then there's probably only 30 or so "real" countries in the world.
ngl, I've been to Ontario twice, and it's in the uncanny valley with being similar to America. The only differences that could be casually observed were the metric road signs and the plastic money, everything else was superficially just like the American Midwest.
What people don't get is that with Canada and America it was never about being actually different culturally or anything, it was always about politics. Loyalists went to Canada, rebels were in America. There's still a big difference between us politically, best exemplified by universal healthcare which those third world savages still don't have.
So no we're not gonna merge m80. Would be a disaster tbqh.
ukraine has its own language at least. austria too is a meme country that should join germany along with lichtenstein and parts of switzerland
Australia should become part of New Zealand, you mean.
NZ i love you
All the more reason why the Midwest and New England should break away from the US and join Canada's fair domain.
the swiss have been seperate for like a 1000 years
This. And if I understand it right it's a similar reason for NZ's independence, except instead of loyalists vs rebels, it was maori rights vs no maori rights
Nah, we're still fierce Americans, but thanks for the offer lol
In any case, I've heard American Citizens didn't even need a passport to get into Canada before 9/11, and even today don't need the full passport, just the card.
>pan-germanism
Fetch me bren gun.
>Vermont will annex Quebec in our lifetimes
>New
>Zealand
if they're german speaking areas bordering germany why the fuck shouldn't they join? Same with the biggest meme country on the planet, belgium, which should be partitioned between france and the netherlands
The NHL is actually our league. We just let American franchises play because of the money.
Ontario isn't the whole country you know. There is a unique culture that exists in Quebec and the East Coast.
>your league
>6 (six) out of 30 (soon to be 31) teams are from canada
I am well aware of that, and I realize that even Anglo Canada (minus the Maritimes, which I'd assume are similar to Maine) has its not-so-subtle differences with the US, but on the ground it's still so odd to see a country that was really almost America but not.
Yes, but the MLB and NBA are ours.
The maritimes are actually even far off from Maine. Depending on where you are, they're either similar to Maine, like PEI and parts of Nova Scotia, similar to the Cajun parts of Louisiana like in the other parts of Nova Scotia and NB, or seem a lot more like the UK in some ways like Newfoundland
There are "unique cultures" that exist in the US too
Tbf, a lot of the same French culture in the Maritimes is in Maine. I do concede Newfoundland, that does seem far off, and I've only personally been to Ontario.
But at the same time, is right, and California doesn't seem to match up even with Ontario as well as the Midwest does.
And? Most of the players are from Canada anyway.
Eh no not really. The accents in NS and PEI aren't anything like in Maine. The only big similarity is the cuisine and people being retarded.
and yet most of them play in america.
i think in our founding document there is actually something about us legally being able to be a state of australia if we wanted to
nah but fuck that aussie internet is garbage
im surprised they have such an online presence when they it takes 3 minutes to load a 30kb image
We have free trade with new Zealand but not with you guys... Also we can visit without a visa unlike your country... I think you're a bit mistaken on how all that works...
I'd want to join but unfortunately the US is even less white than we are.
maybe when North America balkanises we won't have this problem anymore.
Why aren't Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand part of an American empire yet? Do we really need to wait for the Queen to die.
The N in NHL refers to Canada you inbred.
I'd take Maoris over Abbos given the choice tbqh
then why isnt it mostly canadian teams you stupid leaf
It is see doesn't matter who the team owner is or what city. the players and coaches are all Canadian.
Fuck off bootlicker; you'll be begging to come back on your hands and knees when the niggers are done with you.
Because we have 1/10th the population you heatstroked adoptee.
Do burgers even watch hockey? I thought only leafs, finns, Russians and Scandinavians watched it.
Wow this is a whole new level of delusion even for a Canadian
If anything is meme-tier it's your autistic need for countries to be organized around languages exclusively.
treaties
Chicago is a big Hawks city, likely because it's one of our good teams right now.
Canada and New Zealand exist as independent countries for the same reason that South Africa and Australia exist as independent countries. Its because when the British Empire finally fell apart the liberal ruling elites of Britain decided they would rather rely on the EU, financial jewery, and the international market for relevance rather than incorporate territories with (at the time) a more conservative population and actually have the resources and numbers to be relevant.
Lets face it, Britain permanently fucked itself when it didn't form and Imperial parliament and incorporate its white colonies.
How come the Stanley Cup hasn't been won by a Canadian team in 20 years
How come Americans can't find their own players?
british empire at its height kept a loose grip on the realms to prevent another USA style war of independence, each realm was essentially autonomous well before it started deteriorating
East timor, All of New Guinea, Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Bali and New Zealand are bona fide Australian clay.
Doesn't mean that political unification was impossible, and full representation of reach former colony in parliament would have prevented a U.S. style rebellion.
The combined economic and military strength of an Anglo Union would have been more resistant to political and economic pressure from the United States.
Australia-New Zealand Anschluss when?
Oceania hegemony when?
Think of the sports we'd dominate and cheap tourist spots under our control
It'll happen eventually, we already have EU style freedom of movement and we'll eventually work towards further economic/political integration. And in our case it actually makes sense because we share a language, culture and common history, unlike most of the EU.
Half those island will be submerged in the ocean within your lifetime m8
You didn't answer the question.
Did somebody say Imperial Federation?
mate literally every single one of those are mountainous. It's the maldives that are going to cease being.
To say that Canada figures little in the mental America landscape would be charitable. With the exception of the cities in some states on the border - the top of New York, Michigan, and Washington state, in particular - Americans hardly think of Canada at all.
This can annoy Canadians to no end. Canada's only neighbour is the most powerful nation in the history of the world, a country that is permanently the subject of the world's spotlight.
>vastly superior neighbours
>of Australia
Who? NZ? Indonesia? Nah.
You're starting to get it now user
