I'm a fan of both personally, I don't do it together really, one kinda spoils the other, just depends on the mood I'm in.
And I know it's an "acquired taste" but fuck me I hate beer, anything liquor I really like, Whiskey, Gin, Jager, and Tequila.

Big names like Bud, Coors, some of the different flavored ones like angry orchard. And then a lot of different microbrewed ones out here at small bars in SoCal, I'm not sure what the difference is between liquor and beer that makes me like one more than the other.
Mind you, I really only drink when I'm at a party or something like that, a good sativa is awesome anytime ;)
