What is East Germany like today?

pretty good, thanks for asking

A literal shithole propped up by Western German gibs

it's less populated poorer more older more men

(you)

a few cities are on the rise and getting younger.
reason a) young people from the surrounding regions who want to live in the cities
reason b) western german students moving there because other cities got to expensive

examples: Rostock, Greifswald, Stralsund, Leipzig, Jena, Erfurt and Magdeburg are all growing while the easter parts of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg and Saxonia (citation needed) literally go to waste

(human) trash

i'm feel fucking sorry for this
you guys not shoul'd live like a slavs

AUFERSTANDEN AUS RUINEN UND DER ZUKUNFT ZUGEWANDT!

The bigger cities are fine. The countryside is economically fugged

>tfw you'll never live in East Germany in a rusty commieblock

Why live?

Thringen is comfy

Sunny at 25 C.

You're right, and this interestingly makes it the exact opposite of west Germany.

What happens there?

People go to Bavaria because they've never experienced Capitalism at its height

I'm from Northern Bavaria and this place is flooded with Eastern Germans during the weekends.

Wish Ossis would FUCK OFF

Jena is a nice university town

underrated

...

>Jena
>nice

wew lad

Is there any Trabants still on the roads?

Essentially what has been said earlier. The cities are doing really great, but the countryside is a different story. I've only really been to Northern East Germany besides Dresden, so I can't really speak for how things are further south, but I can imagine the situation is pretty similar. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is such a sad place.

Only a small handful. It's not nearly comparable to old Ladas in Russia, but there are a few being used in Berlin that you can ride as a paid tourist attraction, though.

I see in internet that GDP per capita of Berlin was 24700 eur (2008) and his unemployment rate is 19%

Isnt it a very poor rate? My city actual GDP per capita is 26700 eur and unemployment rate of 25% (it is in SOuthern Spain, and isnt one of the richest in Spain by far).

I remember the Trabants, they were stinky. They were 2 cycle engines where you mix the gas and oil, right?

I think most were two stroke, yeah.
