Bracket

Astana

Miami

...

...

Shanghai

I don't speak Spanish but 我会说汉语一点儿

...

Miami needs some Supertalls.
Anything in the pipe?

Yeah

this is 1k feet tall

...

>feet tall
ayy lmao

...

...

...

...

...

Shanghai

...

...

...

...

Still supertall at least according to google

Tons of construction going on either way. Most of it now being density/expansion of the urban environment, rather than purely taller buildings, though that's obviously a part of it.

no I mean I have no idea how much a "feet" is

They should just abandon Miami to the sea, the whole place is sinking into the ocean

...

...

>believing batshit leftist sjw propaganda
worse than "the world is ending, repent now!" christfags

...

...

Are you okay, what does any of that have to do with social justice

Do you have the famous before and after picture?

Because it's exaggerated hyperleftist bs promoted by idiots who don't know what the fuck they're talking about (using figures like 25 years! from people who have never actually studied it)

Shanghai by far

More Shanghai

...

One foot is exactly 30.48 cm. So 1000 ft is roughly 300 m.

In any case, I think Shanghai has this in the bag.

...

>In any case, I think Shanghai has this in the bag.
well that was kind of obvious

well we'll have really good Quarterfinals, maybe except for Moscow vs HK...

OP, do you have link to Moscow vs Dubai thread?

Yeah, this is a good bracket. Nice job OP.

Holy shit, that means it'll be close to the Top 10 tallest in the US, and a competitor for the tallest outside of Chicago and NYC. Way to go Miami.

eh... the next battle in 3 days

THE tallest, w/ roof height, outside of Chicago and NYC. There also seems to be another supertall planned in Miami: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Bayfront_Plaza

I can see how Miami could be competitive in the future, but for now Shanghai is the clear winner.

sry lads i got b& the battle will be finished in 3 days

Isn't the OP/Battlemaster Polish?

protip: im posting from proxy

sorry for this I fucked up was spamming some shit in /polska/

Shanghai no doubt

Ah, I see.

>6 hour old thread
>not even 50 replies

May as well dump

I like the quaint angle along the river

...

I like this tower too. It's cyberpunk.

...

...

...

unpretentious/5

And back to the skyline

It's kind of pretentious and posh

i'm kind of b& thats why

...

Sorry if some are low quality.

maybe not shitpost so much :^) how do you even get a proxy working?

Really just a cool city.

In any case, Shanghai is currently in the lead with the same margin by which NYC won.

...

It's hard to tell, but the Yangzte at Pudong is over 400 feet wide.
One of the biggest rivers in the world.

Nice. I like seeing Chinese streetscapes.

RED CHINA RISING

>going to shanghai during the monsoon season

Really makes you think

Posting NYC because why not.

Shanghai wins this hands down. Pic related photo I took when I was there. Different perspective I suppose

A rainy and foggy night.

See I'm pretty pro-China, but this is an example of clearly shit city-planning.

The Chinese officials really need to step it up.

You don't usually see pics of skyscrapers from street level. Here's the Sears Tower from the street.

...

Bloody good picture.

I like Shanghai tower. Is it actually made so that the office space isn't right next to the outer windows?

Nice, share more. Is that in the heart of the city, or were you just roaming around the backwaters?

Not full monsoon season. But it really rained a lot.

>how do you even get a proxy working?
???

I like how in NYC it feels like the skyscrapers are leaning in on you. Especially when they are on both sides of the street.

Same thing happened to me in Boston.

...

Oh okay.

China is currently getting floods worse than in 1998 right now. About 500 total have died so far.

Then again, in 1998 8,000 died.

In 1976, 60,000 died.

In 1931 over 4,000,000 died.

About every 20-30 years they get torrential rains. Thankfully all their water infastructure and rescue stuff has improved, but it's still shameful to have 500 die.

...

Ever been to SK?

I was there in 2003-2004 when my parents got stationed there for a year.

...

...

Yeah, it's pretty cool.

R8 my North China coal province (Shizahuang) architecture.

Shanghai looks like a fantasy place with all the spheres, odd shaped towers and bright colours.

I don't like it.

Is that a drone near the Shanghai tower?

Reminds me of Aspen with the Mountains in the Background. The architecture is meh-tier memery, though, especially with the quintuplet towers.

Hahaha it's a case of actual copy paste commie blocks.

We've had idiots with meme understanding of what a commie block is (when we discussed HK) and so I found this picture.

They built the buildings for housing people. Nothing else.

...

well thats the point

>all these cities that don't have the same architectural styles
globalism is cancer

>tfw you illegally climb up Shanghai tower

Great case of Ukrainian+Russian teamwork.

THE FUCKING LIGHT-POLE IS NOW AN ACTUAL LIGHT-POLE

Oh god I am even more triggered than I was in 2012 when they changed the design.

No the lense seems to be dirty.

>They built the buildings for housing people. Nothing else.
Well yeah. That's the case with all residential towers, user.
