I remember Portugal being top lads and helping the nations of WWII recover. Even if they did get rich selling munitions to us AND the nazis

Having a slave holding your flag is a dishonor, genius

You Portuguese are first that started slave trade
Well done

You caused the civil war of USA indirectly

Maybe remember when portugal got losted war.

> Portugal not being moro.
> Portugal having Galicia.

You can dream, I guess.

>spain not being mouros
>implying I would ever insult Galiza
>implying Castilians aren't the assholes of this peninsula

>> Castilians

I'm not Castilian. Anyway Castile is nowadays a rural region with little relevance and little power.

You confuse Castile (historical region) with the crown of Castile, which including Galicia, Andalusia, Basque country and many other regions. Read a history book.

that's old castille... or are you going to say madrilenes are not castillians?
likewise portugal region was just betwen minho and douro rivers, yet all modern portugal (except for lisbon) is inhabitated by portuguese people

Portugal was the first Western civilisation to get to Japan.

Because Japan was in the midst of a civil war, called the Sengoku period, the Japanese holstered Portuguese guns of a lighter and better mechanism, with an accurate aim. The Famous Daimyo who virtually unified Japan, Oda Nobunaga, made extensive use of guns ( arquebus ) playing a key role in the Battle of Nagashino. Within a year, Japanese smiths were able to reproduce the mechanism and began to mass-produce the Portuguese arms. And just 50 years later, his armies were equipped with a number of weapons perhaps greater than any contemporary army in Europe. The weapons were extremely important in the unification of Japan under Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu, as well as in the invasion of Korea in 1592 and 1597.

Many documents mention the large slave trade along with protests against the enslavement of Japanese. Japanese slaves are believed to be the first of their nation to end up in Europe, and the Portuguese purchased large amounts of Japanese slave girls to bring to Portugal for sexual purposes, as noted by the Church in 1555.

You have tempura because of us, mate.

look here you have, read about history please

at this time the autonomy and sense on nation of castile started to decrease, that's what happens when you lose in a popular revolt against to your emperor.
the capital was made to control the country, ignoring the interest of the nobility of the other regions trying to be "equal" with everyone.

I'm not that guy, but you'll have a hard time convincing anyone here to read Castilian or any other Spanish language.

It's catalan but isn't very difficult to look at the left side of the screen and click in your language

Oh right. I thought that the ca. prefix meant castillan, but I guess that would just be sp.

I'm surprised it has a Portuguese article. Our wiki is pretty much the Brazillian one, since portuguese contribute more to the English one, usually.

my bad, why i took the page in catalan? i thought that post the portuguese one
