MUY BIEN
Hey France
Could some of you guys give me some general advice and information for a spaghetti guy interested in going to russia? Your social life, etc
There's some sort of italian youtuber (a meme one) filming his experiences during some underground trips around hidden places in russia, and it made me curious about russia in general
I like your country a lot, but never been there before
Don't mess with their cops, they will fuckin kill you if you do so.
Learn the line "I'm not from the fucking Caucas, I'm Italian" in Russian
Don't try to drink at the even pace with them.
These are 3 good advices imo
don't smile to strangers
don't go to outskirts or rural areas
don't talk about policy
don't fight with bears
why killing? they know 1000 ways to hurt and leave no trace
they can beat off your kidneys for example
Caucas, what does that mean bud?
Also, what's the point of going to russia if I can't make some friends while drinking vodka and learning their local slangs? That's sad, bud
Don't smile to strangers? Rural russia is out of option also? Tell me more about it, pls
>like Poland is better
If you're Russian, you'd better not even go in Poland or the Baltic states at all or you'll leave in a bodybag. They call it the Butthurt Belt for a reason.
k, I overexpressed myself, the point is that it ain't wise to fuck with ur cops
They not very fond of guys from a caucas, in general. And Caucas guys are usually tanned, dark haired ppl. You are Italian, and you are probably also tanned and dark haired one. So just in case that shit hits the fan, learn this one.
It's not very likely, but it might be useful
>Caucas, what does that mean bud?
Caucasus, region of Russia (Chechnya, Dagestan, Ossetia etc)
>Also, what's the point of going to russia if I can't make some friends while drinking vodka and learning their local slangs?
You can drink but don't try drink as russians, it's may be dangerous
>Don't smile to strangers?
Yes it's considered as agression here
We also dont have small talk culture
>Rural russia is out of option also?
It can be pleasant or extremely dangerous depending on the level of intoxication living there
>tfw two weeks otpusk
It's been scientifically proven that Celts and Slavs have higher than normal alcohol tolerance.
Oh, are you talking about the caucasus region? I don't look like them, I'm from northern italy, I look western
What about poland? I've had a good experience around there a few years ago when I was on erasmus, but maybe I missed something
Do you have some strong similarities to the russians in general? I believe I wouldn't have to worry a lot if you do
So how you people approach yourselves? Everybody seems angry all the time?
We are quite simililar as people, but our both countries works quite differently. Poland is more predictable and safe atm. Russia is on the other hand probably way more interesting.
Yeah...Poland is a reasonably civilized European country. Russia is a Mongol steppe horde.
what will you plane to do?
>check Sitka, Alaska
>some streets actually vaguely resemble Russia
>still some Imperial Russian buildings and churches left
nice
Have no any plans tbqh.
It's not quite hard finding an english speaker pole, but on the other I hand I guess it would be way harder finding a russian person that speaks english
It is advisable that I speak russian at least at a low level of proficiency if I plan on going there for a while? Or just english would be cool for getting by?
>Yes it's considered as agression here
Is it really? I was thinking of going and I smile at everyone because I'm a happy go lucky scamp
don't do this in any major city in the world
some guy told me I should smile more. i almost killed him
aat least no one speaks english in Russia (Moscow and St. P is exception)
you can come here and check it
Best if you had a local friend for a guide. 2bh I can't say how easy is to find english spoken person there, but as a rule of the thumb is always easier in biggest citiest (Moscow, St, Petersburg) and with young guys (up to, say, 30-35 tops). Old folks and villagers won't speak english, that's almost sure.
So you people are not friendly at all?
I won't get to squat with the new buds I'd made there nor bring with me back to western europe a russian qt? Why even live m8
Sure, I was wondering about hanging out with young people, doing some russian language course and stuff at the meantime, but now you told me those messy things I'm not quite sure about it anymore
Maybe it would be better going to eastern ukraine for that, am I wrong?
you are wrong, way more dangerous (they fuckin shoot each other man) and the place alone aint as fun as Russia. It's most likely that you will be just alright and have fucton of good memories after trip to Russia. 2bh whenever I spoke with guy who was there, they were always very positive about the place, people and fun that they had there.
looks comfy i like to live in russian commieblocks

No we just not accepted to smile to not familar people)
youtube.com
Russian people are very friendly, but you get to sit down, talk and drink with them. It is not that smiling is banned, smiling at total strangers on the street is creepy (and we percieve it similiarly even here in Slovakia, we call it the "American smile" and view it as a symbol of fakeness). So do not worry, you can do all things you mentioned, just get to know people, sit down, talk, drink.
ты дaжe пишeшь c aкцeнтoм))
they call it fake, or for worse, they'd assume he's gay. But Italians tend to smile and it looks honest, it's not excatly fake "oh Im so happy" smile number 54, which some autistic westerners wear for...fuck me if I know for what

Errrrrm, don't be so sure, even for frenchs sometimes italians do too much so for us slavs.. Be a bit careful brazilianon
Guess that's okay, great video though, I was wondering about doing some student trip like that around next summer
I'm not that worried anymore due to what you've said slovakianbro, I'll consider that
Yeah, I forgot about the recent war and stuff... But I thought things were already getting better around there
I smile a lot and I'm pretty relaxed, but it's not the american way, it's very honest like almost all italians
I was worried over what you guys said before because I'm a very outgoing guy and I talk a lot to people, I'm not shy when it comes to getting to know people when I'm on a trip
So I was thinking about people trying to fight me for no reason out of that instead of getting along without a problem, you know, it wouldn't be cool if I started a fight just by approaching some guys for asking for directions, that's what I would assume they would do if they get offended by just smiling at them
From my experience this "tough guy's mask" is just rly for starters. If you are just nice fella, they should like you and your company. The case is that they need to understand what are you saying and you have to understand them. That limits you to pretty much Moscow and St. Petersburg with your English only.
Still is shitton of cool stuff to see in Moscow alone. I guess it might be more than in the entire Poland
I do not think they would just assault you, at least in Slovakia, they would just find you a bit creepy if you did that "generic american smile".
when we at it, how looks possibility to get yourself be beaten at your place? Saturday, 1 am, city of 20 000 ppl, night club, Gypsys lvl up to 5%? Considering one is white and isn;t looking for a trouble
With gypsies, high. Otherwise, not that high.
So it would be better going to a trip where you already have some friends than just doing a lone trip?
I didn't have any problem with slavic expats in the west, but I'm not quite sure how thing really are in the east, you know what I mean?
I mean, you guys generally tend to speak about the problems you have around there, but at the end of the day the people I met from there were cool people, at an extend I couldn't relate them to the problems I often got to witness they complaining about
Maybe russia as a country is totally different than russian expats, if so many of them leave maybe the problems they say could be true, you know
I'll play tough guy when talking to people, then
I'm not from the south, people from the north are a little bit more serious compared to them
Never had problems with french people, also
But I must say they complain about things way more often than italians, than I believe maybe it would be easier for an italian guy going to russia than a french guy, in general
>I'll play tough guy when talking to people, then
Nah, no need to do so. You will look silly if you don't use to do this, anyway. Just be urself, don't grinn at strangers until you start talking. Then just do it like you always did and you're gonna be fine
post
What are Russian qts like?
they are rly qt
>>Don't smile to strangers?
>Yes it's considered as agression here
Haхyй тaк жить пoцoны.
Cool, bud
Is russia already westernized at the same levels of poland? I mean, I'm not talking about mc donalds and hipsters, I'm talking about infrastructure stuff
I know the mainstream spots are fine, but the secondary ones I couldn't be sure untill I get there
У кapины eбaльник cтaл eщe шиpe и тoлщe? :-)
>Is russia already westernized at the same levels of poland? I mean, I'm not talking about mc donalds and hipsters, I'm talking about infrastructure stuff
Not outside Moscow and St.Petersburg.
Afaik It's vastly different from place to place. Moscow is more "big world's city" than all of Polish cities combined. Meanwhile deep down on Siberia you may see no solid road for miles. But I'm ain't pro at the topic. I'd love to have some proper Ruskies to guide you too, I guess they know stuff with more accuracy,
How come the bigger country in the world when it comes to extension just have those two mainstream cities?
I just can't help thinking about how many incredible things could be found hidden in russia outside of st petersburg and moscow, it seems impossible that it's just basically clay, bears and wildness all along
I unironically hope Putin jails all of you liberal faggots. you leftist cocksuckers ruined all of the West and US.
In plain Russian pls
Я нe гoвopю пo cлaвянoязычнocть
Cute
Yeah, I find it awkward that they're not even posting on their own general
Where are you, ruskie guys?
китaйcкиe мyльтфильмы
If you could make your question slightly more specific I might answer it with something less obvious.
Mayby they drunk already, mayby they think that I'm good enough spokesman for their sake, mayby theyr'e sleeping or don't care. Or mayby theyr'e jailed for posting on rotten western board? It's Russia for ya, you won't understand it 100% even living 2 lives
...
a ты тaк и нe живeшь я cмoтpю, кpacaвчик

No I am not drunk and it's 10-31 here I am 4000 kms away from Moskvabad
>Dutch boys
Do russian qts really like western guys, or are they all gold diggers as the ruskies say they are, and they just make it all about the western passport thing?
I've lived in america for several years and I have a very neutral american accent, I would love finding a really qt around there in the next couple of years, but I don't want to get ripped off if I happen to marry one
4 time zones....it,s like 1 zone east from Ural? What big city is nearest your place? (or your place)
Take what Russians says with some correction to their pesimism (usually).
But Angloboiz are popular with slavic chicks, true that. Be it Czech, Polan or Russia you have +10 to finding a laid if you are Anglo
In remembrance.
neat, so it's Krasnojarsk then. How's living there? Cozy enough?
>6.40 пo мocкoвcкoмy
пpивeт paнoyтpeнним шитпocтepaм
How do I learn Russian my friends
I'm italian, but I could easily pass as an italian american guy due to my accent (I dont speak the british variation most people in europe usually do since I lived in america, and dont think about that jersey shore thing when I say italian american, I'm not a guido meme, I'm just your regular spaghetti guy)
In south america things aren't going bad so far
Guess it could be cool around slavic countries taking into account the things you've just described
What's the experience you had in poland?
2bh Pole males ain't top tier men out there. We are moody and don't really take care about loooks (cuz it's good for fags, right? right). So out chicks dig to flirt/mate with foreing guys. At least if they are from some place "better" than here.
Didn't know about that, but you guys still manage to date a fair amount of locals around there, right? In italy is very hard starting a good relationship. You usually have to take several dates and give too much attention to the girl in order to start something, it can be really hard starting a relationship if you're not pacient, even if the girl is already into you
There's a polish diaspora in south brazil, went there a few weeks ago
Didn't hear anyone speaking polish, though
The girl I used to date in my last visits to south america was from a polish family, actually
Just buy/pirate a university texbook and start learning. Combine it with Duolingo and Memrise, watch Russian movies switching between Russian and English subtitles. Read Russian books for children. To me personally reading text and the transaltion at the same time is the best way of learning a language.
