>buy a bluray burner
>go to play bluray (buster keaton's the general, kino lorber restored version)
>you can't play blurays on a bluray drive
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT
WHAT A GOD DAMN WASTE OF $80
You can buy a blue ray drive for like $20. Stop being stupid and next time actually read what you're getting
You have to rip it using MakeMKV. Yes I know it's retarded.
Add the cost of the overpriced bluray movie. He now has a useless bluray drive that won't play movies and a useless bluray disc he can't play.
Ah, so we're going with the classic strategy of break the DRM to play the movie legitimately. It's like they learned nothing from DVD.
Just pirate it and you won't have to deal with the bullshit.
Agreed. I don't even use my blue ray drive anymore, but I picked it up for like $28 when I built my computer just in case I needed it
>he spent money on DRM riddled shitware
I would say I feel sorry for you, but I don't
silly goy, playing them is extra
How are you supposed to watch movies without installing the DRM jew or going to pound-me-in-the-ass prison?
>You
not spoonfeeding retards. Go look it up yourself fag
>buy a peepee pooper
>go to poo a peepee (farter hardon's the urinal)
>you can't poo peepee on a peepee pooper
>mfw
isnt there any other alternatives for linx other than makemkv?
its proprietary
>buy a
>go to
>you can't
>mfw
it appears libbluray, libaacs, and aacskeys works
i wonder if mpv can be setup to load these by default
>It's like they learned nothing from DVD.
They learned a lot. They learned that they can charge dozens of dollars for 2 cents worth of plastic and people will still buy them despite the fact that a superior DRM free version is available for free.
Case and point: OP
Blu-rays are only worth it if you want 24P playback on a really good TV and even that can be circumvented by hooking up your PC to the TV and playing rips in 24p.
>24P
What kind of stupid non-standard terminology is this?
AnyDVD HD has always worked well to allow me to play blu ray movies.
The problem is it's expensive to buy a copy of it, and if you pirate it, you have to find a new pirated version of it every time you need to update (which you need to do when newer blu ray discs come out)
You just pirate them like everyone else.
This is what DRM is designed to do. Extracting the most money out of you for watching a thing. You actually supported the DRM jews by buying their hardware and media. Thanks faggot.
>buy bluray disc
>then download a remux off the internet so you can actually play it without illegal/paid/proprietary software
such is the situation with media today
you don't
you're simply not supposed to watch them at your PC
Now by a BluRay Player and hook it up to your TV
>your TV
my tv is 18 years old, probably not ideal for bluray purposes
