I've got this old midi synthesizer that won't work on my computer anymore. It worked perfectly fine on every os up until 8.1, but on 10 I had to frankenstein some vista and 7 drivers in order for it to work.
Since this is a shared computer, the other idiots who use it like to update it whenever possible, and some update a few months ago broke this thing altogether. (Computer detects it as a usb device, but nothing beyond that.)
I have a hunch that it was the creators update that killed it. Is there a way to uninstall that or whatever?

Whenever I torrent I can seed to peers only while I am downloading the torrent and when I am done downloading it, it stops seeding and the tracker won't connect to it's server. Is this is closed port issue? I can download torrents just fine, only problem is seeding after I am done downloading them.

Afaik. You can rollback to previous major updates if you still have the Windows.old folder that gets created on such updates. Go to Settings>Update&Security>Recovery>"Go back to the previous version of Windows 10"

You can also try to uninstall individual updates:
Settings>Update&Security>Windows Update>Update history>Uninstall updates

Well you guys weren't helpful. I solved it eventually through some googling. I copied the previous.js file in the sessions backup folder to the recovery.js file in my profile folder and restarting Firefox.

For anyone that's had a similar problem, Firefox does keep backups of your sessions in a special folder which is awesome. Now I gotta figure out a way to make versioned backups of it.

I've installed Debian stable on USB stick on my old laptop I want to repurpose as a smb server while my esata drive was unplugged (because I needed other USB port for installation USB). Now when I boot with esata plugged, it tries to load root from it instead of the thumb drive and I'm stuck at intrafms. I can boot normally into cli when the drive isn't plugged but I want to use it for storage. What should I do? I tried openmediavault but that shit is buggy as hell so I figured I'll just install Debian with ssh transmission, Plex and smb/ftp manually. I keep running into some obstacles which starts to discourage me. I'm a noob with linux.

Cat5e supports 1000BASE-T (Gigabit speeds) but isn't certified for it like Cat6 is. In general you are good. The main takeaway for 5e vs 6 is that the specifications of Cat6 are more suited for twisted-pair-cable-unfriendly environments with a lot of interference (eg. power lines), although a major factor in this is also what kinds of shielding (if any) your cables have.
If you want to see your throughput just plug in a machine and your router/server/whatever on both sides, you can use the Intel PROSet Software (it may already be installed with your Intel Network Adaptor Drivers).
If you have it installed, you'll see under a tab called "Link Speed" under the properties tab of your Ethernet network adaptor in the device manager. There you can click the "Diagnostics" button and test your cable, if it has any problems

No point for home users. It's for industry use (at least for now). So a computer I occasionally use at work for some reason defaults to high contrast random days when I come in.

I disabled high contrast in options, and I made a new theme, but it still switches to it randomly. No one does it manually. Sometimes it's just the log in, sometimes it's just a browser or other program like quickbooks, but it keeps happening and it's frustrating not because it's difficult to change back, but because I have no idea what causes it.
