Anyone know a reliable seller for getting a Zuk Z2 pro from?
Don't wanna get chinked

>redmi note 5
Damn that looks good

Banggood

Giving an iphone to my parents.

Should I go for completely clear screen protectors or the one with the air gaps that has built in bezels?

The completely transparent ones doesn't go edge to edge and the air gap ones might fuck with 3d touch.

Now that OnePlus 5t is confirmed dead when can we expect the oneplus6 and what will it be like?

gizmochina.com/2017/10/09/exclusive-oneplus-5t-tall-6-inch-189-display/

I'm down to choosing one of these three phones:

V30
S8
S8+

Samsung's the market leader for a reason, but everyone was ranting and raving about the V30 until...this whole shitty-screen-thing came out. Is it overblown? Or is a Samsung device really the way to go?

And follow-up question: I'm a fucking moron. What are the upsides to an S8+ over the regular S8?

Bumping this post as I'm with the same boat as with this guy

>5t
>Confirmed dead
What about op5 running out of stock suddenly around the same time 3t was released?
What about all the rumours coming up recently from legit sourced?

Follow-up thoughts: they both look gorgeous, but both have cons.

Obvious con of the V30 is the shit screen. It's got a DAC, better speakers and better fingerprint scanner location to offset that.

Obvious con of the Samsung devices is Bixby. If the button could be remapped, maybe...but turning it off and simply having a useless button is unappealing. The pros are the quality of Samsung's screens and really just general quality all around.

Someone either convince me that the V30's screen ain't so bad or that Bixby ain't so bad. Alternatively, I'd love to hear that they *are* that bad.

tfw yotaphone 3 still not released

sigh

Femanon here

The 5t was never alive to begin with. It was just a rumour plucked from thin air and posted on pajeet-made phone blogs.

There won't be a OnePlus 6 until Qualcomm come out with a new processor

Forgot pic, sorry

Is the Xiaomi Mi A1 a good Nexus 5 replacement?
Or should I just go ahead and pay more for the OnePlus 5?

Rumor has it that Samsung cut their supply of displays, which would mean they would need to make a new phone with a new screen.

>this whole shitty-screen-thing came out. Is it overblown?
yes and no. It's usually noticeable only in certain conditions (grey background, low brightness). But it's disappointing to see from a $800 phone. The degree the display has unevenness varies though, so if possible I'd buy and return it until you get one where it isn't noticeable.

>What are the upsides to an S8+ over the regular S8?
bigger battery on the S8+, that's it

>bigger battery on the S8+, that's it
How significant? I'm thinking about getting the s8

It's got a bigger battery because of the bigger screen

Does the bigger battery translate to better battery life, or is it just to compensate for the larger screen?

Guys i'm really torn between the Lg V20 and Oneplus 3

working on a budget. max wanna spend $350

is the Oneplus 3 worth getting at this point????

S8+ has better battery life

3000mah vs 3500mah. Most battery tests show the S8+ getting better battery life, but it's not a huge difference.

If 3t is outside your budget, then go for op3. That extra battery life is sweet

definitely not worth the 100 dollar increase then? No performance gain? Just screen and battery?

just pick the size you'd prefer.

OLED OR LCD?

Was in the same boat as you, decided to go with the S8+ because got tired of waiting for LG to announce the release date of the V30 in Europe, the price was estimated to be way higher and the screen issue.
Bixby button is useless, I just use it to turn on the screen when using the clear view cover, but Bixby itself is not so bad, I enjoy waking up to it telling me weather and news.

Guys, help me test something. Touch your phone's screen with your nail ONLY, does it register the touch? It is easier to test it by scrolling a page.
State your phone model.

Nexus 4: doesn't work.
Lumia 520: it works, has an option to turn off this "supersensitivity".
Moto E 2nd gen: doesn't work.
Galaxy A5 2017: it works, has no option to turn it off.

I've noticed this, because I'm "missclickling" much more on the A5. I'm not used to it.

Thanks for the guys who replied on the previous thread.

oled if you read in the dark
lcd cheaper

Are unofficial lineage is builds safe?

Sup Forums I need a phone that has:

>goat camera, front and back
>goat battery life
>doesn't cost a kidney
>prefer stock android or the manufacturer os shouldn't be bloated as fuck

What are my options?

>doesn't cost a kidney
what does a kidney cost?

I preordered a Pixel 2.

Three years of updates and bone stock Android, sounds delicious.

Cut your nails you prancing la la homo man.

Thanks for your answers and supplement questions.

After digging into the matter more, the screen issue doesn't seem to be an exception, but rather the rule. The pictures of it are....quite telling.

I guess the choice is now between S8 and S8+. I'll do some research, I suppose, and make my decision then.

why not go to a phone store and see the display for yourself?

>mediatek
Why are all the new chink phones using it?

Shit's cheaper

considering buying a Xiaomi Redmi 4x
I understand the note version is better due to snapdragon and camera sensor, but i dislike 5.5 and would rather 5.0.

Any advice in the same price range or between the 4x and 4x Note? (buying from Ali through intermediary)

>note 4 global
>flash off
>blurry as fuck
>flash on
>ugly yellow tint

what am I doing wrong?

My Z5 Compact took a hit and fell down back first and now the LCD is fucked, there's lines over like 50 % of the screen. Is there any easy fix or am I fucked?

But no one makes roms for phones with mediatek

That's another reason to use it.

use the Google Camera HDR+ port

Is Bluboo any good? I'm looking for a cheap phone.

JUST

5.50-inch
Snapdragon 625
8-megapixel
1080x1920 pixels
4GB RAM
Android 7.1.1
32GB
Rear Camera 12-megapixel
4000mAh
>no keyboard

Is there any legitimate reason to upgrade a phone apart from playing games on it?

Anyone here enabled camera2 api on the Moto G5? Is it worth it?

What is camera2 api user?

battery getting old
screen breaking

>Bezels from 2011

>Screen breaking

I've seen people walking around using their old iPhones with a shattered screen.

Since the Xperia xz1 compact has a 720p screen does it run faster?

Is the Moto Z2 Play worth the price bump over the G5+?

Those are 2008 bezels, me friend.

No but the display probably contributes to it's decent battery life

Anyone?

because poor people get phones they can't really afford on contract, and when they break it they don't have the money to fix it or get a new one

>no amoled

I have enough money for either
Iphone x or samsung s8? Which has better specs?

Hit it against a hard floor wrapped in a towel or something

i'm in the same boat as you
go to a damn store trust me. Pick them up, touch them. I was rock solid on the s8+ but after using it a bit it's way too uncomfortable.

Also apparently prices keep going down. Since the s9 is rumored to be released by february at best you should wait, if you can, up until christmas more or less and see if they go down even more for the s8/s8+

some deals under 600euros are starting to pop up over here for the Plus

So it looks like iOS 11 has crippled my iPhone SE... is there a way to downgrade the OS?

>Mediakek

DOA

Pixel or Pixel XL.

I wanna get a smaller phone. Right now I'm thinking the XZ1, partly because I actually use the Playstation App and like it.

I would be ready to get another brand if it's really good tough (no chinkphones tough)

Anyone know what tablet this is?

Perhaps an e-reader?

redmi note 3 doesnt do this

I was still using my galaxy note 2 a few days ago, but i broke it on purpose because it was getting so laggy it made me furious. I forced myself to buy a new phone. I have no idea wich one to buy. I mainly listen to music on my phone and i don't do much more than that. I guess it would be a good choice if i buy a phone with a DAC. I was considering the LG V20, but it looks a bit too big. PLS HELP.

The iPhone SE is OBJECTIVELY, the best designed phone on the market

Install a backup

I mean..if you really give a shit about pics then the V20 is your pick.

Performance wise? the OP3

Is Bixby even worth fucking with? I never touched Samsung voice, not even once, on my S3 or S5. What am I missing?

Woop, forgot tag

Best camera I can get in a small phone (at least no more than 5.2 inches, don't want to go much bigger than current 143 x 72.8 x 8.5 mm), fairly light (current is 135 g, 175g is 'a bit too heavy')?
SoC doesn't matter when it comes to power (SD 400 is enough), but it shouldn't overheat, battery+SoC combo should give at least 2/3 of Redmeme 4X's SoT and standby time.
The budget is ridiculously low, 150USD.

Almost forgot, B20 (800Mhz).

I really can't wait for cheap phones to have passable cameras, then using Kimovil would be enough.

>5.5 inch screen maximum, the smaller the better
>don't care about the CPU too much
>3GB ram or more
>AT LEAST average battery life
>300 euro budget
what are the best options? I can wait another month or two btw, if there's something good coming out

I'm looking for a budget phone to replace my dying S3 ant this caught my eye:
>Motorola Moto G5 16GB with 3 GB RAM (Dual Sim)
So questions: how serious or how widespread are its freezing issues and how's the screen (I'm kinda addicted to amoled's smoky blacks)

If you don't care about camera (which is grainy in low-light) then Redmi Note 4 Global is at least decent in everything else (and actually good when it comes to CPU and great when it comes to battery life).
It's only ~130USD for 3GB and ~160 for 4GB.

But check the bands, even Global might not fit your country.

it will if he's in europe

Only if it was 1.5 inches bigger. Oh wait, that's the * Plus

Seconding, I am very interested in this device too, and I want to know especially about LineageOS/custom roms on the device

just get the Redmi 4X, you aren't going to find anything better at that price

Yeah but for US it will only work for some carriers.

How bad is the camera compared to Note 4 Global?
How much would I have to pay to get something with equal or better camera to Global (keeping in mind other requirements, mainly the size and weight).

well doubt he'd be talking about Euros if he was in the US

Ah sorry,

Good news everyone I got a job so now I can afford the Pixel 2 XL

Im super poor and I have a redmi note 3 with a cracked screen right now. its super slow with miui and snapchat works like shit. Is it a good idea to buy an iPhone 5s (last iPhone with ios11), will it be noticeably faster? All I'm planning on using on the phone is telegram for messaging and snapchat, ill be using native apps for all the other stuff (Apple Music, mail, safari etc.).

S8+ works, glad to help

Moto G5S Plus

chinked

the mediakek rn4 is significantly more powerful than the sd 625 one and cheaper

My dad is still using an iPhone 5s, and its noticeably sluggish for daily use.

Miui is garbo, I'd just fix the screen (display assembly is like 18 dollars, you don't have to use a heat gun to separate the panel from the digitizer/midframe, just take everything off, pull off the ribbon cable and stick it onto the new one, and reassemble), and flash lineage on it, it comes unrooted nowadays so snapchat should work. If its particularly anal about stuffs like debugging enabled in the kernel and engineering/debug buildtype in build.prop, you can flash

drive.google.com/file/d/0B8e7Gjb1XkJ0eHozYmFoTHJFcEU/view

and it'd patch both.

thats your best option if you dont want chinkshit then.

Hot, inefficient, no ROMs.
When it comes to power a fucking SD410 is enough unless you gayyme, so who cares.

the iphone 5s is much slower than he rn3
