Are there any android music apps that don't add every audio file on your phone to the playlist? Some user recommended VLC but as soon as I downloaded it I got hundreds of recorded calls added to the playlist.
I want an app that when I open for the first time is completely empty and I add files manually to it. Is that too much to ask? Maybe I'm too stupid but I don't understand how you people organize your shit when every piece of audio saved on your phone is considered music by these shitty apps. Or maybe the only audio files you have on your devices are music?
>Maybe I'm too stupid but I don't understand how you people organize your shit when every piece of audio saved on your phone is considered music by these shitty apps. Instead of sperging on Sup Forums maybe you should've just check VLC's settings, you stupid lazy brainlet.

I already deselected the ACR calls directory but they still appear. Yes, cleared app data, restarted my phone yet nothing seems to work. Even added a .nomedia file in the directory where recorded calls are kept but they all show up whenever I open VCL.
Ryder Hall
Google for "android nomedia", thank me later.

Try DDB2, it's created by the guy who made deadbeef. You can add all files from a directory to a playlist, add and remove individual tracks to/from a playlist, create different playlists and switch between them, etc.
Brody Rodriguez
Nope, doesn't work. I'm starting to think there's something wrong with ACR. I'll get a screen recording of me trying to remove their directory from VCL. It just comes back immediately.

Pretty much every app has an option to choose exactly which folders you want it to look in for music. The settings are sometimes just hidden deep.
I personally use BlackPlayer Ex and it has the option to manage folders.
Tyler Baker
Try Black Player. I don't know what your use case is, but I threw a ton of music and some M3U playlists in a folder and told it to play the playlists.
Also this. Just create an empty file named ".nomedia" in a folder and the phone will no longer index any pictures, video or audio in it.
Now if only they would allow .novideo, .noaudio and .nopicture -- maybe I don't want random album art in my gallery app.
Liam Jackson
pic related .nomedia is already in there
Joshua Miller
Then your music app is crap.
Mason Mitchell
It's VCL so that may explain it, but everyone recommended it.
Hudson Barnes
Not buying this, post screenshot. Bet you're not doing what you think you're doing.
Kevin Young
VLC has never been good for music libraries. It's more the sort of player you put files into and it plays them.
Or is "VCL" something else entirely? When I google it all I find is VLC.
Owen Hall
sorry, VLC is what I meant.
Isaac Gonzalez
This is what is happening. I don't get any "select/deselect" option for directories, so I assume "delete" is what I'm supposed to be doing? When I do that the ACR calls directory doesn't get removed.
Gabriel Hall
Don't use VLC for that. Get BlackPlayer. It will sort things by artist, genre, etc., or let you browse folders. Or, better, you should add the tracks you want to a playlist and save it.
Or yeah, "delete" things from VLC's horrible listing.
Also, please enable show taps in your screen recorder. It's very confusing at times otherwise.
Nathaniel Morales
As I thought. You're just browsing your phone, access preferences to manage which directors to include/exclude in the library.
Cooper James
... should look something like this, adapted to your folder structure.
Thomas Taylor
Alright thanks for the help. I feel incredibly stupid for missing that. Unfortunately it still doesn't work because the directory appears greyed out and can't be deselected. The only option is to deselect the entire internal storage.
Anyway thanks again for being patient, I will try other players you guys recomended and if that fails ill just uninstall ACR. I don't even know why I have it desu, I do a lot of work related calls so I have this paranoia I need to keep proof of what I have discussed over the phone but I never actually had to use it.
James Perez
Deselect the father directory first, then enter it and put checkmark(s) for the folders you want to include.
Jacob Anderson
Deselect internal and then go into it and select a couple things inside it?
>I do a lot of work related calls so I have this paranoia I need to keep proof of what I have discussed over the phone You may want to check whether your state or country requires the other person to be informed that the call is being recorded. But if you're in the clear on that, it's a legitimate thing to be worried about when dealing with clients. It could save you from being fucked out of money.
Michael Perry
Just install DDB2 already, it has the exact functionality you'rel looking for baka
Nathan Walker
i use folder player cracked. its great
Chase Hill
Don't be silly. There's a reason why we use android, it can do it all.
What phone are you using btw? Most sick music apps can select directories too.
If not, use BlackPlayer. I recommend it as well as another user on this thread so it must be good.

>recommending ad-infested apps like a filthy gypsy >2018 ishygddt
Charles Reed
Fuuuucking finally! This worked. Deselected everything apart from my Download folder and now I only have the files I wanted on my playlist. You have no idea how annoyed I was getting at this. Thank you all so much. Just abandon this fucking thread now it's an embarrassment.
Jace Phillips
Kek I hate them too user. I hate them too. Can't understand how people use stuff like that without going insane.
Landon King
Devs gotta eat senpai, and you can remove the ads for a couple shekels.
Leo Lee
AdFree Android if you're rooted, DNS66 if you're not.
A couple bucks for ad removal on each app adds up. On PC there's no shortage of useful free apps without ads.
Henry Sanchez
>On PC there's no shortage of useful free apps without ads. To be fair, a fuckton of windows freeware have a predatory business model where they rely on dumb users not unchecking the toolbar installer boxes, but you have a point.
