msi probably has the biggest disconnect from the gaming culture out of all the big companies and seem to be going all out this time around with the "gamer" designs and marketing. At least the other companies have a sense of style and or some degree of awareness of the culture beyond gamer stereotypes.

Doesn't actually do anything at all, it makes zero difference. QoS for a game on the router can marginally improve things, "killer lan" on your NIC is just silly. Though I've got to say.. having dual NICs on the motherboard really is quite nice. Not sure why you'd need three, though. This doesn't exactly look like a server motherboard.

jesus, that is more than a dual socket supermicro board which at least has usefull things like ipmi.

It is "only" $500 USD on Newegg, but that still doesn't justify the price tag since that's more expensive than most HEDT boards

Still, thats what I paid for my dual socket Xeon E5-2600 boards which actually have things like 10GbE and IPMI onboard.
