1. you can use firefox without giving them a cent, or any of your data. it is quite simple to shut off data sharing with mozilla from within about:config, and make those changes permanent using your user.js file.
2. riseup - while definitely a leftist organization - is not a part of antifa. i used to work for a motorcycle and scooter repair shop that specialized in environmentally friendly bikes (electric powered ones). many of the people at the shop were conservative (including myself), but we all wanted to promote modes of transportation that didn't chuck loads of carbon monoxide into the air (i think that regardless of political affiliations, everyone wants to breathe clean air). we couldn't afford our own servers for the shop, so riseup let us use theirs, and allowed the whole company to use their email services as well. there was no vetting aside from "what does your business do?".
