Authentic Indian Education

I believe I am currently getting the most authentic Indian education available in America.

>Class on windows server
>Teacher:
An arrogant PHD from India that is a part time teacher( I know because she proudly proclaimed her 15 years of experience and education )
Dismisses questions and insults students in hopes that students stop asking them.
Reads the lecture notes, prepared by another teacher, word for word from the computer.
Faces the projected lecture notes with her back to the students.
Accent cannot understood at all.

>Assignments
Technical Simon says, "Select the menu button, click X. Now enter Y into the field. Click okay."

>Tests
"You are working for a medium sized company that have X, Y, Z requirements for their office, what version of Microsoft Server™ would you recommend as their IT person? explain your answer"
"Your standard edition of Microsoft Server™ hard drive limit is reached, what do you do"
"Please list the prices of all Microsoft Server™ versions and their features"

After taking this class, I don't hate Indians anymore, they have been molded by this type of education for years and it changed them into what they are.

your fault for taking a windows server course

>authentic indian education
do they also teach you how to find the designated shitting street

I also took a network class, it was a similar story.

>Fat, early 40s dude who hates his job and lugs around a gaming computer is the teacher.

>Class is about memorizing different standards and numbers that are associated with them.
>Here is a list of 50 words, their definitions and the numbers they are associated with, spend 10 hours memorizing these words in order to pass the weekly test.
>You passed, good job, now memorize the next 50 words and their definitions.
>You say you didn't learn anything? of course you did! You memorized 300 networking definitions, half of which are no longer in use and are simply in the book to pad it out.

>Final test was writing an essay on Cloud computing/Software as a service and why its great

Did I forget to mention the book costs $250 and was called Business Computing?

My Education has made be associate the word business with unimaginative, drone like behavior.

Nice blog dude I love it

I'm sorry, I will return to posting about laptops and smart phones and other consumer technology

why did you pay for a class instead of just setting up a VM and reading blog posts/jewtube vids when you couldnt figure something out.

Because HR people will trash my resume once they see "Watched jewtube" as my education

>be me
>be first year Bsc in computer sci in UK
>first week is gay enough already, two indian lectures and a jew
>thursday comes
>prof dingdong walks into the lecture hall late as fuck
>sits down and starts mumbling
>proceeded to try and find the computer power button
>thing is legit flashing on the side of the machine but he keeps turning the monitor on and off
>tfw the autist finally gets it on after help from a student
>proceeds to try and logon
>types username and hits enter
>windows 10 tells him to lick the back of its balls and put a fucking password in
>DOES THIS 10 MORE TIMES IN A ROW
>student pipesup
>"Y-y-you need to ug-ugh put a password in..- sir..."
>"no i dont there is no password box"
>tfw I pay more than 10 grand a year for this
>play gtasa the rest of his classes

Is this ITT tech or a similar for profit school?

>why do I need to learn math I just want to make video games
>why do I need to learn about rivers I just want to know geography
>why do I need to learn physics I just want to go to space

Its a standard MicroSoft class. I also took CUDA programming, C, Assembler, OpenGL and those classes where good and usually had teachers that have 20+ years of experience. Classes that teach Microsoft technology are bribe classes that Microsoft expects the schools to teach and in exchange Microsoft provides the school with a few million dollars worth of software for free.

The difference between Microsoft and non Microsoft classes is night and day.

>UK
>play gtasa the rest of his classes
tirean?

I will give you an example of what I experienced in my network class in terms of mathematics being learned by a 3rd grader.

>You can square a number using this notation X^2
what does square mean?
>No time to explain, just memorize the definition

>Square root provides you with the square root of a number
what is a square root?
>No time to explain, just memorize the definition

>To get a vectors magnitude, you must square every element of a vector, sum them and take the square root
wait what...I don't understand any of that
>We don't have time to explain in more detail, just memorize this line
>||x|| = sqrt( x.x^2 + x.y^2 + x.z^2 )

>We wont be asking you how any of this actually works, we just need you to remember the words so you sound intelligent enough to pass the interview

please reply

Maybe you are not cut out to be a business programmer

Wow you sound like a real moron

If you dont understand what he means by the post you are the moron in this situation. Telling people to memorize words is not learning, its mimicking. If a person cant explain the concept of squaring they dont really understand the concept sadly most math students just memorize the process without understanding the math

if you are in college and you don't understand squaring, roots and vector norms you are certainly a moron

>teacher
>she
Fucking retard

I cant tell if you are intentionally being retarded

He is baiting for sure

I don't know the vector one, but I knew Squaring and Roots back in fucking high school

I got a fun story here
Class on LAN and WAN
>Actually ends up being a windows server class
>Guy is from haiti, has hard to understand accent, and looks like he's stoned all the time
>Gives us textbook and some Virtual Machines, and a copy of VMware
>Only shows up to take attendance and give out quizzes.
>Just sits in the back of class watching pornhub and has us figure shit out ourselves.

t. Kumail

If you are from some shit hole and have a PHD, shitty colleges will offer you jobs in things you don't know anything about.

>Dismisses questions and insults students in hopes that students stop asking them.
all of my kek

idk based on it seems like he's really retarded. either that or it's top quality bait.

Sadly deals with schools are how shills and insecure fanboys born. Most people after investing a lot of hours on learning something will feel threatened if a competitor appears, they fear to need to invest a lot of hours to learn something new if it gets popular, that's why there's so many senseless flame wars.

I have experienced the following:
>product comes out, everyone uses it
>superior version of product comes out from a second company, smart people realize that product 2 is superior and start using it
>people who don't want to invest time learning new product stay with product 1 for ever

And that is the story of how Java came to be.

Ask your professor what research they have been doing over the past year. If they can't answer that, you can safely disregard them.

why would you take anything with the word "business" on it. for me it's like a trigger word. i'm guessing most of those terms were mostly corporate mumbo jumbo bullshit

>tirean?
Joshimuz

If Java was product 1, what was product 2?

Haskell

Why not Scala?

*tips fedora

This actually sounds like a much better learning experience than the other stories.

The real answer is C#

Yeah I did learn quite a bit from the class, so t worked out in the end, except for the fact that his VMs ended up breaking on us (couldn't become Domain Controller, crashed when attempted to do it, creating no system logs), requiring us to reinstall and redo all our work up till then.

Also, since we had to take screenshots, and the windows tool for that is called Snipping Tool, he would constantly tell us to take our "Snipshots". Also referring to a 1TB external hard drive as a JumpDrive

You arent josh, are you?

>referring to a 1TB external hard drive as a JumpDrive
elder legends tier

pley more iRacing then.

whens next true 100%+

It's what happens when corporations sponsor education. They just teach you to become microsoft employees.

>HowI'dimagineCompSciLectures.jpg

When Frew returns

most indian people want exactly that.

I graduated from high school having passed all my math courses and by the end I couldn't do fractions and didn't actually understand any math. I'd managed to get by just temporarily memorizing a process.

Had to take 3 years of remedial math classes in university just to get up to a proper level of mathematics. Thankfully my university math professor was genuinely good at her job.
